Inspection
Morning everyone! I’m just wondering if anyone with a hygiene rating could tell me how long they waited for inspection after registering with the council? I’m based in Manchester for anyone that’s local and could help out Thank you!🤍

Hey, where in Manchester are you, I’m Stockport and I waited 2 months before Covid and 9 months (I moved) the other one but after 28 days you can trade 🩷🩷

Selling Hot food
Hey guys, I currently have a cake shed but looking to start sausage rolls/bread. How do I go about this? Thinking of making everything fresh that morning/ maybe freezing sausage rolls before baking and baking the morning of opening, and selling in insulated hot bags? And brown paper bags for bread loaves? Will talk to EHO but wanted to see what everyone else thought

To sell hot food, you’ll have to inform your council as there’s a lot more checks than there is selling bait goods because their class is low risk where hot food is highest so you need a lot more paperwork involved

Postals
I’d love to start doing postals, what do I need to start? Do I need a website? I already pay for a domain for my email. I have so many ideas but I don’t want to put everything out there and not have any orders like my tasting boxes🙈

I’d recommend trialing on your socials than the saying out for a website you need an e-commerce website to sell which is more expensive. Try pushing more on socials maybe before selling, get some excitement behind it

My vanilla cake comes out with a perfect flat top but my chocolate cake domes at the top. How do I stop this??
