⚽ Football IQ Quiz #2 – Decision Making
Imagine this situation: You are a central midfielder. You receive the ball between the lines and quickly scan the field. You see: • A teammate wide on the left with space • A striker making a run behind the defense • A defender closing you down from behind • Another defender blocking the central passing lane What is the best decision? A) Turn and try to dribble forward B) Pass immediately to the striker running behind the defense C) Pass to the wide player on the left side D) Shield the ball and wait for support 👇 Comment your answer (A, B, C, or D) and explain why. Tomorrow I will post the correct answer and explanation.

C because then the winger stretches the defense and makes holes in the defensive area if he beats his man, leaving about 3 to 4 defenders left guarding the ST, LW, CAM, and maybe CM wich is an overload in the box, with the right pass on the ground not air, they will find themselves 1v1 vs the keeper
Egypt 🇪🇬 vs Spain 🇪🇸 0-0 (Analysis)
First, I want to say that I’ve only watched & analyzed the second half of the game & not the full game. I will say that both teams played really well, but only one of them was better. Let's start with Egypt; Egypt 🇪🇬 - One of the key strengths Egypt utilized effectively in this game was its defensive compactness. They transitioned from mid-block to low block when Spain 🇪🇸 was progressing with their attacks. They closed down every channel & minimized spaces. Pressing was also great in the Zonal marking creating overloads to pressure Spain’s 🇪🇸 Midfielders & Wingers. However, Egypt lacked composure & chances in this game which is why they didn’t attack that much. Even counterattacks weren’t utilized as Egypt didn’t want to progress to a higher block. One thing they could’ve done to progress the attack was rest defense. This is one of the reasons Egypt had fewer tactical patterns & they were harder to spot. Spain 🇪🇸 - Spain was the best team in this match. They dominated the game. One of the things I liked from Spain is that they keep utilizing the width & depth to stretch the Egyptian defenders to create overlaps & underlaps to create more chances in the final third. They relied more on switching from midblock to highblock to create chances. They were similar to Egypt in creating overloads when they didn’t have the ball. However, their main weakness was a lack of composure in the final third. They couldn’t even get a single goal in the box due to Egypt’s solid defensive positioning & compactness in their own third. If I had to pick the better team, then it would be Spain. Egypt was good but they defended most of the entire game

Merry Christmas!
Just wanted to post a quick lesson. During this time of the year it is essential for you to rest and take a break from football for your mind and body to recover. But that doesn't mean you slack off and indulge in crap and stay late and do all that. Just take a day off and enjoy your time with family and friends. Again, Merry Christmas to you all and happy new year
