Howdy, y’all! I’m Lu, (30, N.B, QLD Australia) have been a hobby seamstress & multi-media artist since I was old enough to hold a brush/pencil/tool, but was introduced to the world of leather 9 years ago, and it quickly became my #1 passion and joy (even when the inspiration runs dry and I need to take a break, I always come back). I’m constantly learning new techniques, researching tools/machinery, and finding inspiration within YouTube tutorials and Facebook groups. I love working with all different leathers, from bovine to kangaroo, pig, goat, and exotics like shark and stingray to name just a few. Also love experimenting with different tanning styles and weights, although 3-4ounce chrome tan kangaroo is one of my favourite hides to work with. I’m putting my workshop together at the moment so no photo of that, but I’ve included one of my favourite creations. Happy to be here, so keen to keep learning and improving, and be a part of a community. :)
