Permission to Celebrate Yourself🎉
Wednesday seemed like a good day for a Permission Skip✨ Today you have permission to pause, look back, and actually see yourself — not for what still needs to be done, but for how far you’ve already come. So often we skip the part where we honor our own growth. We race from one milestone to the next, forgetting that celebration is fuel for the journey — not a distraction from it. Today is your reminder that you are worthy of acknowledgment, applause, and joy right now, not “someday.” 💛 Option A: Write down 3 things you’re proud of today. They don’t have to be big or dramatic — maybe you got out of bed when you didn’t want to, showed kindness when you could’ve shut down, or simply kept going. Let your list reflect who you’re becoming, not just what you’ve done. 💫 Option B: Share a win in the group. It could be something internal, like feeling more peaceful, or something external, like finishing a project or having a hard conversation. Let us celebrate you — because your courage gives others permission to shine, too. 🌿 Option C: Do a small celebration ritual. Play your favorite song and dance in your kitchen. Light a candle. Make a toast to yourself. Say out loud, “I’m proud of me.” Mark this moment — because you deserve to be witnessed in your becoming. You don’t need a reason to celebrate — being alive, trying again, and showing up as yourself is reason enough. So raise your glass, your heart, or your energy… and celebrate you. 🥂✨

So my Today was actually on line with celebrating myself! I just did a post in the thread from Day 2 last week, where I promised/committed to go to exercise class! That was kind of an Option 2 as it was a BIG WIN! Option B, well First thing today, I actually did the whole ‘hit snooze’ a gazillion times this am, and finally got out of bed (Yay)! The 2nd thing I celebrate me is for going to class, and the 3rd thing I’m proud of me for is giving myself permission tonight to just put on my pjs, and not take a shower tonight! I gave myself permission, and it’s ok!! (It’s cool, rainy and yucky outside so perfect night for it since no walling the dog tonight)!

Wow, good for you! Have an amazing time!
UPDATE from our Day 2 Challenge!
After 30 years of wanting to take a pottery class, I finally did it! I signed up the day of the challenge and today was day one of a four week foundational class! It was way harder than expected but I have found it definitely held my attention and kept me very present - which I needed! I have a tendency to let my mind wander and here … it’s impossible! After a horrible fail with my first attempt I managed to pull this little bowl off. I’m super excited about it and can’t wait to glaze it soon! How is everyone else doing!?

That’s so awesome! My ‘someday’ happens Thursday, so I am going to tell you that you’ve given me the last push I think I need to get to this exercise class! I will report back!! Congrats to you. Can’t wait to see your creations! 🥰

So, here is my TRUE update! I’m not gonna lie, I teetered between going and not going this am to my exercise class but I committed to all of you publicly and knew I promised MYSELF to go. So I went! And it was awesome; first class since my medical issues late spring, and I did really well (bear in mind it’s a Seniors class), but it was great and I’m really proud of myself for following through! Thanks to all of you for being out there!!
Permission to Receive ✨
Today you have permission to soften, to open your palms, and allow life to give back to you. Option A: Accept help if it’s offered. Whether someone offers to carry something, buy you coffee, or simply listen — say yes. Let it remind you that receiving is an act of trust, not weakness. Option B: Let someone’s compliment land without deflecting. Instead of brushing it off, pause. Breathe it in. Smile and say, “Thank you.” You deserve to be seen. Option C: Treat yourself to something that feels nourishing. Maybe it’s a long shower, a cozy nap, your favorite snack, or a few quiet minutes outside. Give yourself what you usually withhold. Today, you receive — fully and freely.

@Tanya Pence it’s not the expect something in return for me; it’s the ‘will they get it done, on time and do it well! So the ‘trust’ was a huge thing for me (I also know I like to be in control, and this really was difficult for me)

@Amanda Smith exactly. Tough to give something to someone else to take care of, but I’m working on it so this permission slip was timely

Still out here and honestly, this ‘permission’ to think of ME first absolutely helped over the last few days. My brother has been in town and he can be quite difficult (to put it mildly). And I have almost let it roll off my back where I know a few weeks ago, I would have worked myself into a tizzy! Yay!!
