📣 Quick Schedule Update for Lunch w Kiki
I want to keep these meetups consistent and valuable for you, and with my current work schedule shifting to daytime hours, I need to adjust when we meet. Because of that, tomorrow’s Lunch w Kiki (Friday, December 12 at 12 PM LA time) is cancelled. Going forward, I want to move our community meetups to the evenings, when I can show up more present and grounded. I am thinking of offering Monday, Wednesday, and Friday evenings, but I want your input so this works best for you too. Please vote in the poll below so we can lock in the next meeting time together. Which evening works best for you for Lunch w Kiki? Thank you for being flexible and for helping shape this space with me.

Monday might be okay for me too. I think depending on the times of course.
Flexible Kiki 2026
I don’t know about you all, but I am not playing next year! There have been a few stretches and mobility goals I’ve been wanting to achieve for awhile. And not just to have it, but to be able to execute some moves only achievable after earning the flexibility. The middles splits is definitely one of them. These hips need it! What is your tightest body part and how are you improving it this year?!

My hammies hate me. Hoping that my consistent strength training will help with them.
New Footwork Drill Added to the Classroom
New drill just dropped in the Classroom. If your footwork ever feels messy, wobbly, or unsure, this is the fix. I just added a Heel-Toe Footwork Drill to help you build balance, control, and clean weight transfer so your transitions stop exposing you. You’ll learn how to: • balance through heel/toe changes • twist with control • switch sides cleanly • stay grounded while maintaining rhythm This drill is simple, but once you master it, your choreography gets instantly sharper. Check it out inside the Classroom section, try it slow, and tell me what clicked for you. What do you want next in the Footwork series?

I still practice this at random when I walk through my house sometimes. After not being able to do it for so long now it’s like my feet just knoooow! 😆 best tutorial!

When the Movement Stops Feeling Free
Every dancer has a moment when movement stops feeling free. You freeze during freestyle. You second-guess your choreography. Or maybe you get injured and suddenly cannot move at all. It feels like a crisis, but what if that moment is not there to stop you? What if it is there to bring you back to something deeper? William Butler Yeats once wrote, “Genius is a crisis that joins the buried self, for certain moments, to our daily mind.” In other words, your biggest challenges are not there to block you. They are there to reconnect you to the part of yourself that you forgot was still there. When you let yourself slow down, breathe, and listen, that inner rhythm begins to move again. That is the real art of dance. Your genius is not lost. It is just waiting for you to surrender. ✨ Practice This The next time you feel blocked, take a few deep breaths before you move. Let your body guide you instead of forcing the choreography. Then share below what shifted for you ⬇️

One of the hardest in recent memory for me was how severely I was injured during the last dance team for the final 3 weeks of rehearsal. Almost no one knew the level of pain I was in, i couldn’t walk some days and I didn’t want to be a burden to the teams I was on. I knew that I wasn’t going to be able to dance to my fullest. I wrestled with feeling like I was letting people down. While I was able to have a good performance, I was not I. A great place. it took a while for my confidence to go up again and to move with more freedom and not be paralyzed that something was going to happen again. Goes back to that when you try to push you tense up and that makes it worse, which is what I did. Now I try to breathe a lot more through those moment and challenges. I try to manage the pressures on myself differently.
