I'm packing my bags for Anaheim 🎙️
Next week I'll be at Social Media Marketing World, one of the biggest social media conferences on the planet, and I'm going as your inside source. I'll be sitting in sessions, taking notes, and bringing back the good stuff so you don't have to wade through the highlight reels on LinkedIn. But I want to make sure I'm covering what actually matters to YOU. Drop your vote below and I'll make sure those sessions are on my radar. 👇 What do you want me to dig into most?

This popped into my inbox today The 2026 LinkedIn Study is here! 👤💛 We’ve analyzed over 673,000 posts so you know exactly what works on LinkedIn this year. And there are a few things that might surprise you. Some interesting sneak peeks: ✨Carousels generate 17x more engagement than images… and yet images are still posted 6x more often. ✨Posts that include a question get 77% more comments. ✨Nearly 40% of a post’s engagement happens on the first day. there are some great nuggets in there! i was particularly surprised to hear that hashtags have impact, that a post gets half its lifetime impressions in the first 48 hours (😱), and that links in the post don't necessarily limit your reach. Lots to think about!
LinkedIn just got more valuable for experts (here's why)
LinkedIn just quietly became one of the most important platforms for experts like you. Here's what's shifting: the algorithm is now favoring topical authority over network size. Topical authority just means the platform recognizes you as a consistent, reliable voice on a specific topic. The more you show up around one or two things with depth and intention, the more LinkedIn connects you with people who are actually looking for what you do. And right now, posts and articles from people with topical authority are being pulled directly into AI search results as source material. If you've been showing up consistently around your core topics, your content is working harder than you think. If you've been sporadic, now's a good time to tighten the focus. Not a trend to chase. Just a good reason to keep doing the work with intention. Are you active on LinkedIn right now, or is it more of a background platform for you?

Where Is Your Content Losing People?
@Kathleen Flanagan ask for help with High Traffic, No Conversions Let’s look at this a little differently. If you’re getting more traffic but not more conversions… it’s usually not a visibility problem. It’s a journey problem. So I want to borrow the room for a minute and map something out with you: 👉 What does your path actually look like right now? For most people, it’s something like: YouTube (or social post) → click → landing page / community → …and then? This is where things quietly fall apart. Not because your content isn’t good. But because the next step isn’t clear, aligned, or easy to say yes to. So here are a few things I want you to look at: - Does your content set up the next step, or just deliver value and stop? - When someone lands, can they immediately tell: – who this is for – what they’ll get – what changes if they join - Is the step you’re asking them to take too big for where they are? - Does your page feel like a clear path… or an open room with no direction? Because here’s the shift: 👉 People don’t convert when they’re confused 👉 They don’t convert when the jump feels too big 👉 They don’t convert when they have to figure it out themselves They convert when the next step feels obvious, aligned, and doable. 🔧 Quick Fix (try this today): Go to your landing page or Skool About section and rewrite the first 3 lines using this: “This is for you if…” “Inside, you’ll…” “Start here…” That’s it. Clarity first. Then everything else works better. If you mapped your journey right now… Where do you think people are dropping off? And what might they be thinking in that moment?

All of this!!! I’d also add that having too many options is a deal-breaker for people too. Keep it simple… not “do this, or do this, or do that, or maybe that.” The more decisions folks have to make, the less they will make even a single one!
