Most of us avoid our DMs. I'm doing the opposite.
Okay, putting this out loud so I actually do it. 😅 I'm starting Shoot Your Shot Wednesdays. Every Wednesday I'm going into my DMs on Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook, even here on Skool and actually talking to people. New followers, people who've been around forever, fellow marketers. Just saying hi, introducing myself, and asking how I can support them. Not cold pitching. Not selling. Just connection, which is the whole thing I always preach anyway. Time I practiced it. Here's the kind of thing I'm actually sending: "Hey [name]! Thanks for the follow. Always fun when someone in the space lands in my world. I'm Stacey, I run Stacey on Social and The Content Shift Skool community and live in the anti-hustle content corner, mostly trying to talk people out of posting more 😅 Who do you love working with?" That's it. No pitch. Just a real hello and a question that actually invites a reply. I'm going to document how it goes and report back, the good, the awkward, all of it. Because most of us avoid our DMs and I want to show what happens when you actually use them. Anyone want to shoot their shot with me this week? Drop a 🎯 and let's hold each other to it.

That's the community → connection → content loop working in real time. And honestly? @Katie Day not even remembering what she said is my favorite part 😂. Travelled all day, barely touched my phone
Spent most of today travelling, so I've been pretty quiet online. Funny how a day away from the feed doesn't actually break anything. The world keeps turning. The content I'd already planned is still doing its job. That's kind of the whole point. What did your Saturday look like? Were you online or fully checked out?

When you share a story about a struggle you have overcome, a mistake you have made, or a funny behind-the-scenes moment, you become instantly relatable to your ideal clients. You show them that you understand their journey because you have been there, too. Your Content Prompts (Choose One): 1.The "Biggest Mistake" Lesson: Share a story about a mistake you made early in your career and the valuable lesson it taught you. 2.The "Aha Moment" Story: Describe a specific moment when everything clicked for you regarding your expertise. 3.The "Unexpected Inspiration" Post: Share a story about something totally unrelated to your business that gave you a brilliant idea for your work. Go tell a great story this week, and we will see you at the campfire on Thursday!

Prize Structure You can earn "Camp Badges" (points) for completing specific actions within the Skool community. Posting a weekly content link in the designated thread earns ten points, while commenting on another camper's post earns five points (including on social media itself). If your post or profile are private please share the caption and graphics/video under Mess Hall Tab for commenting and link it under the Thursday post. At the conclusion of the eight weeks, the campers with the highest point totals are entered into a draw for virtual grand prizes: First Prize: A 1:1 Coaching Session with Stacey for deep-dive strategy planning.
