Have you forgotten about your email list?
Another great Skooler is scrubbing in for 1 day of the Clinic. The bonus session is the Email Fix. @Kylie Kelly is joining us to show you how to grow your Skool community without social media β€” using the audience you already have but probably aren't using. Your email list is full of people who already said yes to you once. They know you. They trust you. And most community builders never think to convert that trust into members. Kylie grew her own email list to 7k+ without social media or ads β€” and she's showing us exactly how. Kylie is the founder of Email Marketing Skool β€” a community for online business owners who want consistent leads, stronger relationships, and a business that doesn't depend on showing up 24/7 on social. πŸ‘‰ Do you have an email list β€” and are you actually using it to grow your community? Drop your biggest question about email below. Kylie will see this. πŸ‘‡ --- - Full calendar of events here - All sessions & speakers introductions here - Purchase all-access pass for $27 (all recordings & VIP sessions) here

@Mary Wilmer you can start one today! Are you asking folks for their email addresses when they join your group? That's a super easy way to get going :)

NO CUSTOMERS
HI there. I've launched my new community almost two weeks ago. Although it's a big deal under parents who's children struggle with gr9 math's, I haven't got one customer, neither enquiries Not sure what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions The community is in Afrikaans especially for Gr9 learners, who struggle with math's. I break it up , step by step, explaining

Hey @Christine Strydom - 2 weeks is such a tiny timeline, and this is a much longer game :) Lidia gave you some great tips in her video - and I highly recommend adding more images (and testimonial screenshots) to your About page PLUS a video of you explaining/showing what's inside the community, how it works, and what it's like working with YOU. Parents will want to see who you are to build trust in you. You have a strong, dialed in niche... but you also have the added challenge that you serve youth but are marketing to the parents. So you have to target not just parents of Gr9 learners who are struggling with math, but parents who WANT to actively take part in helping their kids overcome these challenges - because not every parent has the desire/interest/capacity to do this. So make sure you include the keywords and phrases those parents might be using in their search (e.g. how do I help my kid get better at maths etc.) so that your community gets found. When you say you are using FB primarily right now... how exactly? Just on your own profile? Is your profile public and in professional mode? Is it optimized? How often are you posting? Are you promoting yourself in groups? etc. What is your current marketing strategy? Launching your community is the easy part (altho that often feels hard), the real work comes in driving traffic to it. YouTube an Meta ads are really strong options - as is Pinterest if you haven't thought of that. And Skool communities that allow promotion (especially public ones) should be high on your list too. That said... I noticed that you don't seem to be very active on Skool - and that is an absolute must. You can't hope to build your community if you're not here every day. Especially since you're providing a service and Skool that relies on your involvement. You could also make connections and referral partnerships with teacher groups, tutors of other subjects etc so that you can get referral traffic (and reciprocate).

I stopped sending YouTube traffic to a landing page and this happened
For a while, I was doing what most people do. YouTube video, CTA, landing page, opt-in, email list. The standard funnel. It worked okay. But okay wasn't good enough when I looked at the drop off between click and sign up. So I tested something. Instead of sending people to a landing page, I started sending them directly to my Skool community, where my lead magnet lives inside the classroom. Conversions went up. Noticeably. And here's the part that made it even better. Because I'm on Skool's pro plan, every new member who joins automatically gets added to my email list. So I'm building the community and the list at the same time, with zero extra steps. Two birds, one stone. If you want to try this yourself, here's the basic setup. Step one. Create a search-based YouTube video targeting a specific phrase your ideal member is already looking for. Step two. Put your lead magnet inside your Skool classroom, locked behind membership. Step three. In your video CTA, send people directly to your Skool community link, not a landing page. Step four. Connect Skool to your email provider using the pro plan automation so every new join captures the email automatically. That's it. No complicated tech stack. No leaky funnel. Is anyone else here using Skool as their primary lead magnet destination? Would love to know what you're seeing.
