”Off Topic Sunday” and ”Community Music AI Project idea” clearly worked 😅
After chatting about music here @Ryan Nolan, @Ken Rodgers, @Ryan Steggerda and others, I got creative. I got sick, couldn’t focus on serious work, opened Suno “just to experiment”… and somehow an entire album rolled out. Again 😅 Apparently the right people + structured prompting + too much time to think = creative output. It turned out to be a surprisingly effective way to process things and let go of mental clutter 😉 You can listen to the new creation here: https://suno.com/playlist/754d605e-3b56-4e2b-83a8-99d758ed0734 You don’t have to pay anything to listen on Suno. If you want to create more consistently, the paid tier helps, but you can absolutely experiment on the free version. Below is the cleaned framework I used. It’s structured, but adaptable. Change it. Break it. Refine it. Treat it like a sparring partner, not a prophet. Also small thought. This community has many categories, but maybe we’re missing a “Creative Corner”? A place to experiment, test music, visuals, writing, weird ideas. Just a thought 🙃 HOW TO USE THIS FRAMEWORK (non-technical version) 1. Copy the prompt below. 2. Paste it into ChatGPT (or similar AI). 3. Replace the parts inside [brackets] with your own ideas. 4. Start a conversation. Don’t just paste and disappear. 5. Approve what works. Reject what doesn’t. 6. Refine as you go. 7. When your songs are ready, ask the AI to analyze the album arc and emotional coherence. It works best if you: - Have at least a rough story or emotional direction. - Respond and iterate instead of copy-pasting blindly. - Give feedback like “this feels right” or “this doesn’t land”. The AI learns your taste through conversation. You can change the arc midway. You can drop songs. You can add songs. You can pivot tone completely. It’s a tool. Not truth. PROMPT STARTS HERE

🚀 How to Self-Host n8n for FREE on Render (No Credit Card)
People usually don’t believe me when I say this: “I’m using all the features of n8n completely for free.” The first reaction is always the same 👇 “n8n Cloud is expensive.” “It won’t scale.” “You’ll hit limits.” And honestly… I believed that too for a long time. Until I tested it myself. I wanted an automation engine for AI agents and workflows, but I didn’t want: Zapier limits paid plans usage caps vendor lock-in So I tried something simple. What if I self-host n8n instead of paying for the cloud? Turns out — it works. And it works really well. 🔹 Why this setup actually makes sense Once you see it clearly, it’s obvious: n8n → the automation brain Self-hosted → no artificial limits Render → free infrastructure Put together, you get a production-ready automation engine for $0. Perfect for: AI agents SaaS MVPs DM automation internal tools No Zapier. No paid plans. No friction. 🛠 How I set it up (step by step) Step 1: Create a Render account Go to 👉 render.com Create an account (GitHub login works best). Once inside the dashboard: Click New Select Web Service Step 2: Deploy n8n using Docker On the “Deploy a Web Service” screen: Choose Docker In the Image URL, paste: docker.n8n.io/n8nio/n8n This pulls the official n8n Docker image. Step 3: Keep the config simple You don’t need anything fancy: Environment: Docker Instance type: Free Service name: anything you like Then hit Deploy 🚀 Step 4: Open your n8n instance Wait ~2–3 minutes. Render gives you a live URL. Open it → you’ll see the n8n setup screen. This is usually the moment people realize: “Okay… this is actually real.” Step 5: Activate n8n Create your n8n account You’ll be asked for an activation key n8n generates it automatically Paste it in → done. 🎉 You now have n8n running for free. ⚙️ What this unlocks With this setup, you can build: AI agents (RAG, DM bots, assistants) Lead qualification workflows DM / email automation Internal company tools SaaS MVP backends

Nice breakdown. One thing I’d add for people just starting is that this setup is great for learning and experimenting. Free hosting usually means the service can pause or restart when it’s idle, which is totally fine at that stage. Once you move past experimenting, it’s usually time to rethink hosting. Especially if you need things to run all the time, care about scalability, handle real user data or payments, rely on webhooks, or want clear visibility when something breaks. At that point people usually move to a VPS with Docker, and later on, if needed, more structured setups like Kubernetes.

1) Career goal: To quit my 9–5 and move fully into IT and AI work this year, building practical, reliable systems. Right now I’m focused on strengthening my fundamentals and learning how to build things properly, not just experiment. 2) Personal goal: Avoiding burnout this year is a big priority, and I’m planning to build a proper support system for myself. 3) Favourite music artist: I honestly can’t pick just one. I listen to a lot of different genres: rock, old-school and modern rap, hip-hop, pop, classical, jazz… whatever sounds good. But if I had to name an all-time favourite, it would probably be Frank Sinatra. And even then, there are so many more I’d want to list from different genres 😅
Community Music Ai Project Idea
Kinda inspired with conversations from @Ryan Steggerda @Ken Rodgers @Liina Suoniemi Maybe we can build a n8n workflow for a project on a call? and then turn it into a YouTube video Ken: Bass I'll write some guitar riffs. Not sure how this will play out. If anyone else plays an instrument or is interested respond in the post. Will try to coordinate something over the next week or so.

This is cool, things move fast here😃 I don’t play an instrument, but happy to help however I can.

@Ken Rodgers You’re definitely not crazy😄 it really is good. Has he released anything publicly? I’m not tied to one genre either. My taste is all over the place, but I do draw the line at the really heavy stuff where it’s mostly screaming 😂 I’ve tried… not my cup of tea 😅

@Ken Rodgers Totally agree😄 Black Sabbath, Metallica, and Iron Maiden are absolute classics. I’d sprinkle in some Rammstein as well, and from a more modern era, Muse.
