Mine is #7 at Wellshire. I'm still learning most of the local courses but my struggle on this hole has been consistent. I can never seem to find the fairway and end up with a terrible approach angle that usually puts me right of the green with a downhill chip. Earlier this year an older gentleman used his foot to stop my ball from rolling off the green as a mercy. Any other struggle holes or courses?
I've found that laying up there is almost never worth it, if you can take 3 wood or driver at the left trees it can give an easy wedge in, carrying the hill with a draw will give some good roll and like 85-100 yards up the hill for your second shot.
What are you guys looking to improve in your game? Or what is holding you back from the golf life you dream of? Is it not having the time to play as much as you’d like? Not having the money to play as much as you’d like? Not enjoying the game as much as you’d like? Not knowing how to improve? Not having good people (personality wise or skill wise) to play with? Other priorities? Physical pain/lack of strength or mobility? A lack of ROI when you go play? Your partner doesn’t want you to play golf? Something else???
My short game and putting is holding me back immensely, I have the technical skill to shoot way lower than I have been but I still need to get just those last couple putts to drop and save a couple more pars.
