Off Topic Where is everyone From!!!
We have been growing so much in this community and I am so excited about it. I've always said that the only real shortcut is playing with others, especially those a little more advanced. With that being said... Drop your current location. Who knows, you might be right next-door to someone who loves guitar as much as you do. Keep strumming, Jake G.

When Did You Know Guitar Was YOUR Instrument?
Think back—what was the moment you knew you needed to learn guitar? Maybe it was a song, a live performance, or the first time you picked one up. Drop your story in the comments below. Sharing your "aha!" moment could inspire someone else to start or keep going on their journey! I’ll start: It was middle school orchestra - when I started playing bass. I even remember my first note it was as a “D” 😆

Mine was when I was in grade school. We had a guitar at the house my sister bought from a friend. It just sat and was never used. I picked it up and started messing with it. Unfortunately it wasn’t properly set up, action was way too stiff for my fingers and I lost interest but at that point I knew I wanted to some day learn how to play🙂

Song or album recommendations?
Do you have an absolute favorite song or recording? I always want more music to listen to, and I’m looking for new stuff to listen to. I’m really digging Bluegrass right now, and Tony Rice has been on repeat. Check out Unit of Measure if you haven’t heard him before. Jerusalem Ridge is a favorite. I’ve been a play it by ear or tablature type “dabbler” playing on and off for over 15 years but feel like I never progress or improve.
