This community will be deleted on Friday. If you haven't joined the new BBS community space you can do it by clicking here. PLEASE CHECK YOUR EMAILS after filling in your details for the member activation link, if you don't click that link you can't access the community space, after that first time you can just log in without the link. Once you activate your community membership you'll receive a link that lets you gain access to the "course" tab where you'll find Basic AF and all my other free resources. You can then switch between the community and the course from your members dashboard. If you later join one of my paid offers those will also show on the same member dashboard everything in one place nice and easy.

Closing this Community
The month is almost up. It doesn't feel like people are getting any value from the new set up in here so over the next week I'll be removing everyone so that the community can be closed officially. I'll leave those of you who have previously been active until last to give you time to sign up to the new BBS community (see pinned post for links) if you want to continue following the BasicAF training and all the other things that are planned for after it finishes. If you do sign up please check your spam folder for your log in link after joining otherwise you won't be able to access the community space and worksheets 🫶 It's been a learning curve the last few months, I like Skool as a platform but it just wasn't the right fit for this project 💋

It's alive (cue mad scientist laugh)
The coding is done and the website is live! BasicAF has it's new home you can either view all the podcast episodes and YouTube videos directly on the webpage without having to navigate to other platforms or jump into the new BBS community and get access to everything including the worksheets via a dedicated course lay out 💋 *ignore the sparkle ✨ on the video it’s need added to hide account info*

@Melissa Steiner 100% easier to build on a pc/laptop a lot of site builders don't give full functionality on mobile

@Melissa Steiner I know the issues well, I spent years running my businesses just from a phone and the struggle was REAL
Contemplating whether Skool is the right place for BBS
You may or may not be aware of some drama that happened the last few days whereby communities were moved categories without warning. Personally I have no interest in Skool games etc but this whole thing has highlighted just how hustle culture centred the Skool platform actually is. I saw it from day 1 the gamification, the focus on income, the owners of large communities being idolised and called visionaries for teaching the most basic ass things. I thought I could ignore it all and just build my community my own way. But the last month or so with features changing and big changes being brought in without consulting paying members has reminded me that we don’t actually own these communities, we have no control over what happens here just like on social platforms. So now I am left wondering if Skool is a safe place for BBS or should it be moved to a platform I can control? So my question to you is: If I moved everything to be available elsewhere and you could access the Saturday drops via direct email or by signing into an account on my website (community space still available there for those who want it) would you still want to take part?

@Melissa Steiner I’m think I may use systeme.io it’s where I will be hosting my paid programs and has a community feature almost identical to Skool, only difference is no app and it’s stand alone just your community. Everything I do for BBS is hosted on other platforms anyway and just gets linked in here so I could run BasicAF as is with the Saturday drop as an email and the community support optional for those who want it. Still wouldn’t 100% own it but would have much more control than here. The only way to fully own anything would be to build your own independent website with the features you want and only pay to host it somewhere. Which is my long term goal but will take a long time

@Melissa Steiner marketing, so Skool would become a part of my larger ecosystem as a place i talk about what I do and then direct people to join via website, it’s how I’ve run my product based businesses all these years and I feel like going back to that is a good move
