Our First Certified Fractional Executive
I am proud to announce that Aaron Martin is the first graduate of the Fractional Executive Certification Program and is now officially a Certified Fractional Executive. As a member of our founding cohort, Aaron brought thoughtful questions, extensive executive experience, and a genuine commitment to strengthening his fractional practice. Aaron is the Founder of Glass River Technologies and a Technology Clarity Advisor for growing nonprofits. He helps nonprofit leaders better understand: • What technology they currently have • Where risks and gaps may exist • Which issues deserve attention first • How technology investments can better support the organization’s mission With more than 25 years of experience as a CIO, CTO, and CISO, Aaron brings the strategic perspective of an experienced technology executive without requiring an organization to hire a full-time executive. His work begins with assessment and clarity, rather than immediately recommending new systems or solutions. From there, he helps organizations strengthen governance, identify risks, reduce complexity, and develop a practical technology roadmap. Aaron, congratulations on becoming our first Certified Fractional Executive. It has been a privilege to watch you refine your positioning, offers, proposals, and plans throughout the program. I am excited to see what comes next for you and Glass River Technologies. @Steve Vetter Lol! Great question. Business Development, aka bus dev or BD!
Anyone know a publicist or PR agency?
I have a client who wants to be on the Today show. Anyone have that area of expertise or can recommend anyone who can help her? If interested, message me directly. Thank you.

I've sent out this question to my networks. Let's see what they come back with. PR firm yes, but more like a publicity/public speaker bureau type of vibe? At least, a specific type of PR firm for sure. What is their subject matter expertise? Sometimes I think it's about creating momentum with thought leadership, followership, maybe event submitting and publishing content with them before getting onto the show?
Sharing different community platforms at our next member's meeting
At our next member's meeting, we’re going to explore “Building Your Own Community as a Source of Income.” 👉 Prep opportunity: If you’d like to present for approximately 5 minutes during the session, here’s your challenge: Select ONE major platform (e.g. Substack, Patreon, Circle, Mighty Networks, etc.) and come ready to share: A: Platform Mechanics: 1. Costs: What are the fees/costs associated with using the platform to host a group? 2. Monetization: What are the primary ways to make money on the platform? B: Success Example: 1. Example Group: Provide one example of a successful group running on that platform. 2. Niche & Success Factors: What niche does the group serve, and why do you think it's working so well? If interesting in presenting, please add the platform of your choice in the comments below. I will be going over Skool. See you next Thursday, November 20th.

Yes, this is interesting to me. I'm actually working on a business model that takes "fractional executive director" to a whole new level for small and mid-sized orgs. One thing that might be helpful is to decide if it's a small, medium, or big org. I find that the software platforms are really different, depending on needs and scalability. They're also priced accordingly. Would you also be willing to share your RFI/buying thoughts when you migrated to Skool?
One-on-one Intros
On the last call, @Leah Yoneda suggested 1:1 introductions so we can learn more about each other and how we can team up like @Steve Vetter suggested in his presentation. I think both are phenomenal ideas, so here’s my calendar link. Comment with yours and we’ll get the conversations started! https://cal.glassrivertech.com
