What Tools/Platforms Are You Using?
I have been stuck in Reedsy and I love it! But, I know I need to try new things. Recently I started using Novelium. While it looks dated, it has some pretty cool features. It has a lot that can help with the editing phase of publishing. Theres a violations section where you can upload your manuscript and see if there are any discrepancies. This has been super helpful. (If you are interested in trying them, use my 20% off cupon code Danielle26! *Quick plug lol) What are platform do you use when writing and why?

@Rachel Ivory That’s exciting, sounds like things are already moving in the right direction. And you’re absolutely right to keep it simple, especially with something like an RFP process. What I’ve seen though is that having a clean, professional online presence in place while those conversations are happening can quietly strengthen your positioning and make decision-makers take you more seriously. Nothing complicated just something that clearly reflects what you do and supports those opportunities you’re already creating....

@Rachel Ivory This is amazing also, you’re already doing the hard part by building momentum with a team behind you. The only thing I’ll say is this… when schools and parents start showing interest, where are you actually sending them? That moment is everything. If there isn’t a clear, simple place that presents your materials and guides them, a lot of that interest can quietly drop off. If you want, I can help you tighten that part up so all your marketing effort actually converts the way it should.

@Suzanne Smith That actually makes a lot of sense, and you’re not alone. A lot of great ideas end up scattered like that over time. Honestly, this is the perfect moment to bring everything together and turn those “someday” domains into something clear and it will work for you. Whenever you’re ready, I can help you sort, organize, and build one clean setup that actually reflects your work without a stress..
What's New This Weekend?
Thanks @Michelle Ross for popping on for the Live today. I'm currently in my writing era and am trying to do a little everyday before my kids wake up. It tends to be pretty sporadic, but I try to start my day with getting a few words in. When do you get most of your writing done?

@Michelle Ross I love this, there’s something special about building that quiet, intentional rhythm around your writing. You’re right, consistency really win. The only thing that takes it to the next level is having a simple space where all those ideas and moments come together and actually work for you over time. That’s where things start to feel less scattered and more like real progress. If you ever want help setting that up in a way that fits your flow, I’ve got you..
Why are you self publishing? 🤔
Is there a specific reason? Are you on a time crunch? Are you a bit of a control freak and need to do it yourself? Is it about the money potential?

@CPR Instructor Kay That’s honestly the best place to be,ready to publish and just needing a clear path. You don’t need anything complicated to get started. Most authors begin with Amazon KDP because it’s straightforward: Upload your manuscript Add your cover Set your pricing Hit publish And you’re live. The real difference though isn’t just publishing… it’s what happens after. Making sure people can actually find your book, connect with you, and keep coming back for the next ones on your list. I can walk you through the exact steps (simple and beginner-friendly) and also show you how to set things up so you’re not just publishing… but actually building something that grows with every book. You’re closer than you think happy to guide you through it..

@CPR Instructor Kay That’s exactly what you can do it, you just need the right guidance so you don’t waste time guessing or getting stuck halfway. I’ll walk you through the process step by step from getting your book live to making sure it actually gets seen and connected to everything else you plan to publish. Most people stop at “publishing”… but the real results come from how it’s set up to grow after. If you’re reasdy about getting this done the right way and not just rushing it out, I’d be happy to work with you and make it smooth from start to finish. Send me a message and let’s get your book out there properly..

Love this these kind of spaces really help people get unstuck fast. For me, I see a lot of authors not struggling with writing… but with how to present and connect their work so readers actually stick around. That part makes a huge difference long-term. I’ll try to catch it
