What Is Really Calling You? Let’s Talk About What’s Really Driving Our Cravings
I posted a longer version of this publicly today, but I want to have a real conversation about it here. Because this is the part that matters. Why is it that when the cookie calls… we answer? When the chips whisper… we listen. When McDonald’s, Burger King, Cookout, Sonic, cake, and ice cream start calling our name… we don’t hesitate. We don’t pause. We just pull up. But when discipline calls? When long-term health calls? When the version of you with strong knees, stable energy, regulated emotions, and confidence in the mirror calls? Silence. Let’s be honest in this room. Those foods aren’t just calling your taste buds. They’re calling your boredom. They’re calling your frustration. They’re calling your stress. They’re calling your fatigue. They’re calling your loneliness. They’re calling your emotions. They’re calling your abuse. They’re calling your trauma. They’re calling your grief. They’re calling your low self-esteem. They’re calling your abandonment. I’m not saying this to shame you. I’m saying this because food is often the coping mechanism we chose when no one taught us how to process pain. Food becomes comfort. Food becomes sedation. Food becomes protection. So let’s talk. Which one is calling you the loudest right now? No judgment. No fixing. Just awareness. Because awareness is where healing begins.
