I would like to introduce myself
Hi, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Lavagust most call me Vagust. I am a GM that specializes in PF2E, but do dabble in other systems. I do some ghost writing but that is something new I am working on. I would like to say Hi and I hope to make some new friends and run some new adventures.

@Phil Hollecker sorry I missed most of the conversion because I was late, but from what I did get was very helpful. I look forward to the next one.
Gaming system question
I know Dnd 5.5e is not popular with a lot of folks, just wondering why. Also curious what systems are your favorites and why? I'm in my first year of ttrpg-ing and don't feel I can take on learning a new system yet but I'm just wondering in this group what factors influence your likes and dislikes about various systems. I have played some independent systems at conventions and enjoyed them, and I do like the combat mechanics of Pathfinder, but Dnd is really big where I live and I already have a lot of the physical materials so I'm pretty invested in it for awhile. Open to any thoughts though, thanks!

PF2e is my preferred system because of the crunch to be honest. The feeling that there is a ruling already in place to stop some of the game-breaking things I've seen and have done reassures me. I will also say I do miss 5e sometimes and there is much more of an audience for it, but the games I run lean towards combat and puzzles and PF2e seems to handle this best for me so far.
Community Guidelines
Please take a glance at these before posting anything---pretty straightforward stuff. Moderators are the final arbiters on how guidelines are applied. Be Respectful: Show due respect to other people. This covers anything from being overly rude to hate speech. Do Not Post Personal Info: Even if you’re comfortable with others knowing your email or other contact info, please don’t post anything of the sort in the discussion channels. Be Supportive: Constructive criticism is welcome. Insulting other people is not. Don’t Pick Fights: If there are issues, bring them to the moderators. Don’t try to battle and hash it out yourself. No Ads: No advertising, including self promotion. Feel free to discuss and talk about things you think are cool or interesting (discussing an upcoming TTRPG, for example, isn’t “advertising” it) but don’t attempt to sell things. Family Friendly: Try to limit foul language to a reasonable amount, and don’t post anything explicit. Legal: Don’t post or share pirated content. Credit Creators and Sources: When you post art, games, or other forms of content, give credit where it’s due.

Origins Events
Super excited to share that Origins has accepted my bid to do two speeches based on the wonderful works of friends the Fishel Brothers. An Introduction to Proactive Role Playing Thursday at10:00 am and An Introduction to Collaborative Campaign Design Saturday at 10:00 am are live now in the Origins system. I know I have been a bit less active in this community as of late ( new job and also back in school), but I am still singing the praises of this work. I would love to meet up with any of you all at Origins this year if you are able to make it, either at these events or just in general!
