On Sundays we like to get a little cozy and learn about each other's favorite things. You never know when one woman will inspire another around The Guild. Today is about little luxuries. What's one small thing that makes your everyday life feel just a little more magical? It could be... ☕ A coffee creamer 🕯️ A candle 💄 A lip balm 📖 A journal 🧦 Cozy socks 🌿 A tea 🎧 A playlist. Bonus points if you include a photo or link so we can discover something new!

My table fountain. I turn it on while reading and pretend I'm not in the desert. 😆
Leveling Up Series
I found a romantasy series that I have enjoyed immensely called Leveling Up. It features a gargoyle FMC in her early 40s, a found family made up of a hilarious cast of magical creatures, a magical house, and of course a brooding shifter who owns the local bar. It has been such a fun read. K.F. Breene, the author, is currently doing a crowdfunding campaign for deluxe editions of the first three books in the series. I've never backed a project like this before, but it felt like a fun side quest, and this series seemed more than worthy of being my first. I wanted to share it with the rest of you in case anyone else wants to join in. Or, at the very least, spread the word. I'd also love to know if anyone else here has been reading the series. https://www.backerkit.com/c/projects/vault-comics/leveling-up-series-books-1-3-collector-s-edition/launch_party

Tiny Magic Thursday
When you return to this moment, you return to yourself. Take one slow breath. Take a look around you. Notice one thing around you that you have never really appreciated before. Sometimes presence is the most powerful form of magic. Share one thing you noticed today. 🌞

My Kindle. It has restored my love for reading.
Ponder This
Love this quote by Oprah Winfrey: "We can't become what we need to be by remaining what we are. " ❤️💫🦋 We are constantly changing and if we want a change, we have to make a change, even if it feels uncomfortable at first. If it feels comfortable, share something you changed recently or plan to change.

My go to phrase for change is "nothing changes if nothing changes." A couple of months ago I started leaving for appointments, etc 10-15 minutes earlier than I need to leave. It has really decreased my stress level. I've also started writing down what i'm grateful for each night, which helps me to notice more of what I am grateful for during the day.
Plot Twist Friday - The Chapter I Didn't Think I'd Write
Today, my divorce became final. I have gone back and forth about whether to share that here. Not because it is a secret, but because some experiences are too personal and complicated to turn into content. Since I want this to be a space where we can be our most vulnerable and sometimes messy selves, I need to be that person. This is not a celebration post. It is also not a post about the details of what happened or who was right and wrong. It is simply an honest acknowledgment that one chapter of my life has ended. I know this ending is right for me. I know there is peace, possibility, and a fuller version of myself waiting on the other side of it. But knowing those things does not erase the grief. Sometimes a plot twist is exciting. Sometimes it is devastating. Sometimes it is both freedom and loss at the very same time. I am sharing this because I want Plot Twist to be a community where we do not have to pretend that becoming the heroine of our lives always feels brave, beautiful, or empowering while it is happening. Sometimes becoming the heroine looks like crying in your car. Sometimes it looks like admitting that something mattered, even though it could not last. Sometimes it looks like letting yourself be sad today and trusting that you will straighten your shoulders tomorrow. (This is an ode to one of the most profound scenes in TV I have seen. It's the end of The Good Wife series when Diane slaps Alicia. She allows herself a moment to fall apart, straightens her shoulders, and carries forward). I do not have a perfect lesson tied up with a bow. I am still living this part. But I do know that an ending does not mean my story failed. It means the story changed. And perhaps that is the heart of a plot twist: the moment when the life you expected falls away, and slowly, imperfectly, you begin writing what comes next. For this Plot Twist Friday, you are invited to share only what feels safe: What chapter are you closing, grieving, rewriting, or finding the courage to begin? And if you have a happy tale to tell today, we want to hear that too.
