Grow Fast. Why & How. 28th Aug
most people don't have a content problem. they have an EMPTY ROOM problem. today at 3pm UK/ 5 pm Jerusalem/ 10 am New York i'm running a live workshop on growing a free Skool community FAST in @Justin Yip Aligned Entrepreneur Network. i'm covering what actually moves the member count, and why it is so different. this is for you if you've got a community sitting at 10 members and you're quietly wondering if you did something wrong. you probably didn't. you're likely doing three things that don't work and one thing that does, just not enough of it. i'm the guest in someone else's house tonight, so come and join the discussion. i will answer all the questions. see you there?

Nobody remembers your event. They keep your PDF
So, you know how this works.... The replay gets watched once, maybe. Then it sits in a classroom nobody opens 🙄 Fix that by sending people away with something. A PDF is the easy version. A checklist, a template, a swipe file, a one-page summary of what you actually covered. People open those months later. They forward them to other community owners, to colleagues, sometimes to friends and family who were never anywhere near your event. That is distribution you did not have to chase. Which is exactly why the CTAs inside it matter. Your community link. Your next event. Where to find you. Someone reading that PDF in eighteen months should still know how to reach you, and most giveaways fail that test completely. The better version is a tool. Something people use again and again rather than read once. A planner, a calculator, a tracker, a generator. Every time they use it, they are reminded who built it. That is the difference between a resource and an asset. I use Base44 (referral) for mine. If you want to test the idea before committing to a platform, you can build simple tools with Claude artefacts for nothing and see whether people actually use them. Either way, the principle holds. Your event should still be working for you long after you have logged off. I have included an example PDF with "calls to action" at the bottom of the PDF to give you an example of what I mean. These are pretty simple to create if you just spend an extra 10 minutes.

Guess I’m keeping this one. 🤭.
It's Happening Tomorrow - Because You Voted For It
Quick reminder: the live session on interactive tools is tomorrow, Tuesday 21st July, 5 pm London / 12 pm New York / 9 am Los Angeles. This whole thing started with a quick question I posted about quizzes, worksheets and calculators inside events. The votes and comments made it obvious this needed a full session, not a quick tip. So tomorrow, Katya McEwen from Oracle Connections and I are going live to show you exactly how it works: live Claude build, Katya's design process and real examples, and the mid-presentation quiz question straight from the comments. Katya's also gifting one of her interactive tools to attendees, ready for you to rebrand for your own niche. 🗓️ Add to your calendar HERE If you voted on that post, this one's yours. See you tomorrow. Des

Just how important interaction is for connection. Clarity and message are important but the reminder that engaging while creating meaningful messages that feel personalized can’t be emphasized enough. The reminder that creating a business built around the need of others seems obvious but easily forgotten.
Our Latest Competition Winner and I Have A Question For You ✋
Hi, everyone. How are we all doing? You can read this or watch the video. Well, I can tell you now that Mercury retrograde is still kicking me up the pants! I was doing so well until I decided I’d record this on Zoom. But let’s see if I can do what I’ve been trying to do… and it wouldn’t let me. So, you’re going to be my guinea pigs today! We’re here to cover a couple of things. First, I have a question for you, then I’m going to talk about the referral winner, and we’ll get to that. Let me just see if this is going to work… oops, wrong one. Let’s try this. I normally am able to set all of this up beforehand, but this time it just would not let me. I know other people are having all these issues too, but honestly, I think it’s taken the mickey out of me now and I’m done! It’s one of those moments where you’re thinking, “I have so much to do and so little time,” but here we are. So before I carry on waffling, let’s dive into the classrooms. Now, I know this is not an area that you visit often. Why not? You don’t know what you’re missing! For starters, we’ve got all our Getting Started instructions, and I’m not going to go into those today. We also have information if you’re having a summit. We also always, when I remember, put the current edition of the Weekly Bulletin here, so you don’t have to scroll through the posts to find it. You’ll always find the latest one here. Then we have all the events that are happening for the week. The idea of this classroom is that you can search under the categories to make things easier. So if you’re here to browse events, you don’t have to scroll endlessly through the feed because, let’s be honest, that can be a nightmare, can’t it? Instead, you can come in here, look under the different topics, and see what is happening. We’ve got quite a few networking and masterminding events this week, along with some brilliant business-building events. Definitely have a look at those. Not to forget our financial and abundance events — because who doesn’t want some of that?

Good video. I was not aware how you had setup the classroom and that so much information was available in each link. So there you go. Thx again!
Quick one for you.
I picked up something recently from Katya from Oracle Connections when she presented in my community that I think could genuinely change how your events perform - building simple interactive tools (think calculators, quizzes, assessments) that people can use during or around your event. Here's an example from my last premium session. It's not complicated once you know how, and it makes your event stand out from the usual "hop on a call and listen" format. Thinking about putting together a short training on this. Worth doing? Drop a vote below. Des

@Des Dreckett Where is this mini-project magic 12 week course you talked about? I don’t see it in the classroom…or did I misinterpret? I’m good like that. 🤭
