Lifeway Gospel Project Inquiry
Our Kids Ministry Sunday School classes use Lifeway's Gospel Project curriculum. We currently buy the printed materials (teacher guides, Poster packs, student guides), but I think I would like to switch to a digital subscription to more easily accommodate last-minute subs and teacher changes, as well as benefit from the added materials. Is there anyone who has used both that can help me weigh out the costs & benefits? What we have now works, so I don't want to break it.

Hey Christa! I’ve never used the printed materials and have only use the digital content. I prefer digital over printed for a ton of reasons. It is easier to navigate (there may be a learning curve for navigating ministry grid). One specific component is that digital allows me to pick the best activities for the ministry and only print those activities.

@Allison Mari I always give my volunteers an edited version. I give them exactly what I want them to do instead of a bunch of options for them to choose from.

Volunteer Kids
Hello! We have volunteers that bring their kids to serve with them. I love that they want to serve as a family and teach their kiddos how to serve in the church, but as far as safety and ratio I was curious what others do when it comes to this. This happens mainly when parents are serving in the nursery. Do kids need to be a certain age before serving with a parent? With nursery is it adult only volunteers?

I do not let any kids currently in the kids ministry serve in the kids ministry. Now, in one church environment, I had a Jr. Team that were able to do things like greet, run slides, lead worship, and other things in the context of their own classroom. I think the exception could be made with 5th graders serving alongside their parents.
