💜 Welcome Wednesday!
Today is all about welcoming the newest members of our Creating Cultures on Purpose community! If you're new, we're so glad you're here. Please jump in and tell us a little about yourself: 👋 Are you an early riser or a night owl? 😊 What’s one thing you love doing when you’re not working? And if you've been here for a while, you're invited to answer too! Then take a minute to welcome someone else or find someone you have something in common with. 🤝 Great communities aren't built simply by joining. They're built by getting to know one another. Welcome! We're glad you're here. 💜 — Dr. Stephanie Duguid

@Summer Diya Selva I'm the opposite. Give me a midnight writing session and a slow morning!
Let's Celebrate Together
Leadership is filled with big moments... But it's often the small victories that matter most. Maybe you: ✅ Had a difficult conversation. ✅ Encouraged a teammate. ✅ Tried something new. ✅ Learned an important lesson. ✅ Took time to care for yourself. Whatever your win looks like... We'd love to celebrate it with you. 🎉 Share one win from this week. Then, before you leave, celebrate someone else's win with a comment or encouragement. Leadership becomes even more meaningful when we cheer one another on. Thank you for making this community a place where leaders celebrate progress together. Have a wonderful weekend! — Stephanie

I've been working on a book pitch for a while. A publisher asked for a full proposal this week!
What Does Culture Feel Like?
When people describe workplace culture, they often talk about values, expectations, or policies. But culture is also something people feel. Think about the healthiest workplace, team, school, or organization you have experienced. 💬 What did that healthy culture feel like, and what specific leadership behaviors helped create it? What specific leadership behaviors helped create that feeling? There are no perfect answers. Let’s learn from one another’s experiences. https://www.loom.com/share/46d45c6bfeca47b9804563e68540fdca

Working in a "yes' culture that valued innovation felt great. This was with leaders who trained and trusted us to be innovative.
Culture Is Created in the Small Moments
Happy Monday! Culture is not created only through major initiatives, important meetings, or words displayed on a wall. It is created through the everyday moments people experience: How we respond. How we communicate. How we handle challenges. How we make others feel. As you begin this week, choose one word to describe the culture you want to help create. My word is: intentional. 💬 What is your word for the week, and why did you choose it? “Culture is always being created. Let’s create it on purpose.” — Dr. Stephanie Duguid

My word is transformation. My college is going through a big change in leadership, so I'm trying to embrace the change (whilst still questioning a lot, of course!).

@Tracy Mambrino Difficult conversations for sure. This is something I have to do even though I don't directly line manage anyone and it's tricky!
