Community is up, youtube channel started!
I uploaded my first 4 videos on youube! Are they good? No, but I started. It's not pretty but again, I started. I already want to quit but I'm not going to. As an artist I've painted so many bad paintings, I've made so many jewelry pieces that sucked but I stuck with it and ended up winning awards. So here we are, making terrible videos. My youtube is laurarobsonstudio. I've been an artist for 30 years and I know I can help people, I just don't know how yet so I'm kind of all over the place and kind of waiting for a comment or feedback from my channel to know what people want. I have my 5th video in the editing phase and will post that in the next day.

@Sharna Bird Thank you! I When @Brian O'Neill wrote this : "Is there a specific type of style of art that you teach or specialize in?" I really sat with that and really tried to articulate it for myself. What I want to do is not really a how to "DO", it is more of how to "THINK".

@Brian O'Neill @Sharna Bird because of this thread and what you both said to me I really dialed down what I want to specialize in. "I help artists and makers expand beyond familiar ways of working by teaching them how the creative process actually works so they can move past limitations, trust where they are in their creative journey, and see possibilities in their art they never saw before." In short, teaching the creative process because believe it or not, there is one! Skool Community : You don't just get community here. You get the conditions that make creative breakthroughs more likely. And to put some icing on this cupcake, I now have 3 hours of view time on my 5 videos and now an actual framework to move forward! Thank you!
One Huge Win and The "Next Brian Thing"
Check out this video I made for you. I have a quick win to celebrate with you all: We just crossed 300 members in this community 🥳 It hasn't even been three months yet, making this the fastest I’ve ever built a community... and I’ve built four. Most of you found me through YouTube, and I’m incredibly grateful you’re here. But while the community is growing, I know many of you are still stuck in a cycle I know all too well. 𝐈’𝐯𝐞 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐫 "𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭-𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫" 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 I’ve been completely transparent about my past: 26 different side-hustle attempts in 14 years. I remember the gut-wrenching feeling of my wife looking at me - not with malice, but with genuine exhaustion - and asking, “Is this just the next ‘Brian thing’?”. I never stuck with anything because, honestly, I didn't know what to do. You might feel the same way right now: - Too many ideas blocking you from pulling the trigger. - Fear of wasting more time and energy on something that won't work. - Quietly fading away because you lack the support of a group. 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐈𝐬 𝐍𝐨𝐭 𝐉𝐮𝐬𝐭 "𝐀𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞" I could just sell you a course and say, “Good luck,” but I know the likelihood of you actually finishing it is very low. I’m not playing that game anymore. It doesn't help you and it's not who I want to be. 𝐈 𝐚𝐦 𝐥𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝟗𝟎-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐄𝐱𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝟏𝐬𝐭. This is a separate, private community where I will personally lead you through five clear steps. It is designed for people with 9-5 jobs and/or busy lives who need to end the overthinking and analysis paralysis. By the end of the 90 days, you will have a validated paid offer. By "validated," I mean real human beings (not AI) have raised their hands and said your idea is something they are willing to pay for. This will be a paid offer, and it will not be made available to the public. I’m not running ads or building a public funnel for this. The only way to get the details is to join the waitlist. Joining the waitlist is not a commitment to buy; it’s just you saying, "I want to learn more about this".

@Brian O'Neill Ha!
Spam? Is that a thing on Skool?
I got my very first request for my community! I have 3 questions I asked and they just answered with random letters and not words. I was so excited now I'm not. Here are my questions and her answers. What creative mediums have you explored or are curious about? (e.g., painting, jewelry, pottery, fiber arts)vgbn What's the biggest challenge you face as a multi-medium artist or maker?hjh How did you hear about this community?skooler Location: new york (united states) Does anyone have experience with spam on this platform?

The 10 Biggest Problems People Face When Starting an Online Business
If you’ve ever tried to start an online business and then stopped, stalled, or second-guessed yourself....this post will help you understand why. Most people don’t fail because they’re lazy, unmotivated, or incapable. They get stuck because they run into the same predictable problems that almost no one talks about clearly. Below are the 10 most common problems people face when trying to start an online business, especially if you’re mid-career, experienced, and have already tried a few things before. If several of these hit close to home, that’s normal. It's also fixable. 𝟏. 𝑵𝒐𝒕 𝑲𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑩𝒖𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑺𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒕 This is the #1 problem. And why this community exists. Too many ideas. Too many opinions. Too many “proven” models online. So instead of choosing one, people stay stuck choosing none. The clarity you're searching for comes from filtering down to what actually fits you. Not by adding more options. 2. 𝑶𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑬𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒚 𝑫𝒆𝒄𝒊𝒔𝒊𝒐𝒏 Research feels productive… but it often becomes a hiding place. And if you're not careful, you might never escape. People get stuck comparing tools, platforms, niches, and business models instead of making progress. Overthinking creates the illusion of safety. It's killing your business dreams. 3. 𝑳𝒐𝒘 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑷𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑭𝒂𝒊𝒍𝒆𝒅 𝑨𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒕𝒔 Many people aren’t starting from zero. They’re starting from disappointment. Previous side hustles that didn’t work leave scars: “Maybe I’m just not good at this.” “I should be further along by now.” That baggage slows everything down. 4. 𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒊𝒎𝒆 Time hits differently once you’re in your 40s or 50s. Every new idea feels like a gamble. People worry they don’t have the runway to “figure it out” anymore. This fear often leads to total paralysis. 5. 𝑭𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝑾𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑴𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 (𝑨𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏) We've all bought them... Courses Software Coaching Tools Many people have already spent money trying to get something off the ground and didn’t get results. So now every investment feels risky, even when the real issue wasn’t the tool, but the lack of clarity and execution.
