Hey everyone, Amazon, iTunes, and Spotify have all paid for the month, so go check your DistroKid payouts! 💰🔥 If it’s only been your first couple of months, you may not see your iTunes money yet. Once those payments start kicking in, you’ll start seeing the individual purchases and everything show up. YouTube is still late, which sucks. 😂 DistroKid put up a notification yesterday saying YouTube payments are delayed. I got the same message across four different accounts, so it looks like it’s affecting everybody. Amazon ✅ iTunes ✅ Spotify ✅ YouTube ⏳ Go check those payouts! 💵

I have been making album releases since the last week of January and have never been paid. Not had much luck in contacting them. Any insights? I’ve got songs with more 1000 views.

My 2 Artists Albums is not live on YouTube yet a week. Spotify and the rest is live for a week lol. Anybody else?

Many independent artists have recently reported that their albums are appearing on other streaming platforms but are not being published to YouTube Music. (Newletter subscribers should already have this in their email https://aiguerrilla.com/p/distrokid-releases-are-not-appearing-on-youtube-music) This seemed especially common around the Firstt of this year/ New Year and the Fourth of July weekend. Based on what I have observed over the past year, delays like this appear to happen more frequently around holidays and weekends. It can sometimes seem as though YouTube Music temporarily slows down or stops processing new album deliveries during these periods. At this point, I cannot confirm exactly what causes the delay. As far as I know, the issue does not appear to originate with DistroKid. The release may be delivered successfully to other platforms while remaining unavailable on YouTube Music, which suggests that the delay may be occurring on YouTube’s side. However, without access to the internal delivery systems, there is no way to say that with certainty. Fortunately, there is a simple workaround that has been successful for me on multiple occasions.
