Quicken for tax purposes
Does anyone use Quicken to keep track of expenses for tax purposes? Or do you let an accountant do all the work?

I use Quicken Classic Business & Personal on my Mac Mini. I'm a former QuickBooks user and that was overkill for my purposes. I track all of our personal accounts and my multiple business accounts and credit cards for my two unrelated LLCs. I find it easy to use and code each entry appropriately as I do monthly reconciliations. I do create a "dummy" account every year for cash transactions where I record the garage sale, estate sales purchases and the one off kinds of things. I'm on accrual accounting. I was a Vendoo user for inventory management, moved to Nifty and am now moving back to Vendoo because it's so much less expensive. I think Nifty is a superior platform for that but I'm a part-time reseller and cost is an issue. Between Quicken and inventory management with analytics I feel like I'm pretty organized and not stressed out. Mark Tew, CPA does my taxes. Hope that helps :).
Nifty
For those that use Nifty, please give me your opinion of it. Pros and Cons. Have you seen in increase in sales? Is this the only program you use? If not, what other programs/tools do you use? Thinking of giving this program a try but want to make sure its worth it.

@Nancy Browne Agreed. Those core skills are essential for life and work in general, IMO. As a former software trainer and implementation consultant I have a leg up on many in that regard but technology has definitely zoomed ahead and with AI that is exponential. It's a very exciting time to be using tech tools. If I were 30 years younger...sigh. My current business is brokering scrap lead for recycling. That has been very exciting and lucrative until exporters captured the bulk of the market. The only constant is change. 😀

@Jerry Wilson This is where I am now that I have the foundational skills. I'd really like to niche down to something for which I have a passion. This is the secret sauce I am lacking but now I have more time to work on that.😉
Does anyone use a Crosslister?
What crosslister does everyone use? And why?

I switched from Vendoo to Auto Posher, now renamed Nifty.ai last summer and am very happy with it. I was happy with Vendoo but Nifty has AI driven listing creation from your pix (it reads the pix of labels, too - cool!) that is extremely accurate. I had a live VA, based overseas, for a couple of years but with Nifty I get more accuracy and less work for me. I like the platform because it's all-in-one, cross-listing and automation. I don't have to manage PosherVA and manually sending offers to watchers on eBay and the other platforms (I know Vendoo has added offers, don't know if they've added AI descriptions). They currently support eBay, Poshmark, Mercari and Depop with Etsy next. It's a young platform but I've seen exponential growth in features and functionality since I started. I also tried List Perfectly and it wasn't for me. IMO, Vendoo and Nifty are both excellent products. My background is in software implementation/training so I'm pretty picky about these things.
Returns
I am so fed up with people who don't read the measurements in my listings. Now I have to pay over $7 to get a top back from Hawaii. Another one left neutral feedback complaining it was more like a size 14 than a size 16. The listing title says "Size 14-16 PLEASE CHECK MEASUREMENTS" I wrote that because the label said size 16 and had already been returned once.

@Lisa Fornal This methodology also works for me. If it's a return because of something I messed up only then will I return the original shipping. You can only do so much and there will always be some returns. I've had a couple of items that were returned twice so I changed up my description and DID NOT list them on eBay since a sale on Poshmark can't be returned for fit. The returns that get me in a twist are the old dirty jeans, worn items, damaged goods and empty boxes sent back that I clearly didn't sell. eBay has been good to me on those issues and made me whole. They make the buyer whole, which is egregious, but that's on them.

@Lisa Fornal absolutely- some buyers definitely get an invitation to the block party.

In 2020 I lost my job. Our house burned down. But I did not lose faith. This is what shifted my mindset and refined my character. I know that everything happens for a reason. This is the push I needed to go all in and prove to myself I would make it. So in 2021 I decided to go full time on eBay. Since then my life has been transformed. Was it easy? No. But I believe you too can make this shift happen for yourself. With proper principles in place you can make it work. So happy to be part of the wonderful community. I plan of giving away as much value as possible. The goal is transformation. If you need some help putting these same principles in place for your business book a FREE 15 minute call with me and we'll get you on track. ➡️https://calendly.com/beaujohnson1/ebay-coaching-strategy-call
