Welcome Spring: Holistic Tips for Caring for Your Body This Season 🌼🌿
Spring is beautiful… and for many people, it also means pollen, sneezing, itchy eyes, congestion, and feeling a little “off.” One gentle holistic reminder for this season is this: prevention matters. Reducing pollen exposure can help, and simple steps like checking pollen counts, limiting exposure on high-pollen days, and changing clothes or showering after being outdoors can make a real difference. Saline nasal rinses are also one complementary approach often used for symptom relief. Here are a few simple holistic spring body-care tips: ✨ Support your body earlyDo not wait until your body is overwhelmed. Start paying attention now to hydration, rest, nourishing foods, and your daily routines. ✨ Rinse the season off. After spending time outside, wash your hands, rinse your face, and if needed, shower and change clothes to help remove pollen from your skin and hair. ✨ Keep the inside clean tooOpen your windows carefully when pollen is low, and be mindful of what you track into your home during heavy allergy days. Monitoring pollen counts can help you plan your day with more intention. ✨ Use gentle holistic supportSome people find complementary practices like saline nasal irrigation helpful as part of a whole-person approach to seasonal allergy care. 🌼 Spring Fun Fact: Dandelions are more than “weeds”USDA notes that dandelions are an important early food source for bees, and their petals and leaves are edible and can be used in salads. NCCIH also notes that dandelion is used in foods and herbal products, but it can interact with some medicines, so people taking medications should check with a health professional before using it as an herb or supplement. This spring, let your wellness be intentional. Care for your body gently. Support your immune system wisely. And remember: small daily habits often create the biggest healing shifts. What is one thing you do each spring to take better care of your body? 🌿 Dr. Nena Ahmad-El Bey, Licensed Clinical Mental Health Therapist

Spring is my reminder to get outside more after the colder months. I try to take more walks, enjoy the fresh air, and soak up some sunshine, it always helps me feel refreshed.
PEACE on the inside > PEACE on the outside
🌿 Attitude of Gratitude: The Peace Within Challenge (Day 1) I’ve been thinking about the monks on their Peace Walk… and how powerful it is that they’re choosing peace on purpose — step by step — like an offering to the world. And it reminded me of this: Peace isn’t just something we hope for “out there.”Peace is something we practice “in here.”(me pointing to my heart) Today, let’s surround their walk with loving energy and bring it home to our own lives. ☮️ Prompt 1: What does peace mean to YOU? When you say “I want peace”… what are you really asking for? - Peace in your mind? - Peace in your body? - Peace in your home? - Peace in your relationships? - Peace with yourself? - ✌️ Prompt 2: What interrupts your peace most often? Outside noise can be loud. Sometimes it looks like: - people’s opinions - responsibilities - stress + rushing - guilt - conflict - overthinking - social media - old memories - the pressure to be “on” Name yours without judgment. 😇 Prompt 3: What’s ONE small “peace choice” you can make today? Not a big life overhaul. Just one step.Examples: - 5 deep breaths before reacting - a 10-minute silent walk - putting your phone down for 30 minutes - saying “no” without explaining - praying/meditating for 3 minutes - cleaning one tiny space - playing one song that lifts you - choosing softness in your tone Your peace matters.Because when you choose peace, you don’t just change your day — you change what you bring into every room you enter. ✅ Comment below using this:Peace means: ______My peace gets interrupted by: ______My peace choice today is: ______ And if you want to add a little love into the world: Drop a 🕊️ to send energy to the Peace Walk. Feel free to share your thoughts and feelings on both peace and an attitude of gratitude. THANK YOU FOR SHINING YOUR LIGHT!!

Peace means being emotionally safe and unhurried. My peace gets interrupted by overextending myself, absorbing others stress, and old memories. My peace choice today is allowing myself grace. 🕊️
Here’s your Wednesday Attitude of Gratitude Challenge
ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE CHALLENGE (Wednesday Edition) ✨Today we’re training our minds to notice the good...especially when life feels heavy. Before the day ends, find ONE good thing you normally wouldn’t count. Drop it in the comments like this: Good thing: ____Why it matters: ____ Examples (tiny wins count): - “I got out of bed.” → “Because I didn’t quit on myself.” - “I didn’t react.” → “Because I protected my peace.” - “I drank water / ate something.” → “Because I cared for my body.”
