Have you considered moving from sampling at 44.1 kHz to higher sample rates?
We have all considered moving to higher sample rates. Here is a great discussion on considerations for bit depth and sample rate https://youtu.be/3DJMj_v-i0Y?si=gTKMcPkbiW-t5j3W

@Phillip Patterson I'm surprised. I would have expected that higher samplerste would give bigger latency because the higher cpu and memory use.

My own recordings is made with 96kHz sampling rate. Among other things to avoid the need for dieter. If not needed the final mix can be downsampled.

Welcome
Why not just saturated on a return track?
Yesterday Jake put the tape and neve on each individual track why didn’t he just run it through one return track like he did with the reverbs. I’m asking bc my computer is not strong enough to run 10 tape emulators at the same time

@Yehudi Matthew btw I think (guess) that there are differences between the DAWs regarding the CPU usage (all other being the same: plugins, tracks etc)
Names
I have been working in the IT industry for 30+ years and the IT world is known for all the all the abbreviations used... Well, I'm new to the producing, mixing music world, but you guys (music production) beat the IT industry... FTM, and all other places you pick up stuff in the learning process, words like "I'm using the 455 compressor" or similar.... I'm total overwhelmed by all these abbreviations of outboard gear and stuff. 😅. Am I the only one? - or haw long time time does it take to learn 😅😅
