@Yehudi Matthew yes I love soothe 2 greatest plugin on the market
Why not just saturated on a return track?
Yesterday Jake put the tape and neve on each individual track why didn’t he just run it through one return track like he did with the reverbs. I’m asking bc my computer is not strong enough to run 10 tape emulators at the same time

Critique my FTM Homework
Hey all, I've been working on a new song for a new client, I am pretty close to the project since I produced and mixed the track myself. This is my first time producing a Soul/RnB/Pop song for somebody. So it would be good to get some feedback from the outside world. My process: 1. Used Ableton Live to record and mix 2. Recorded the guitar straight out of my Boss Katana amp 3. Recorded the vocals with my Scarlett Focusrite 18i8 using the "Air" setting and my TZ Audio Stellar X2 condenser mic (love that mic so much) 4. Rhodes/keys are a combo of built-in Ableton Rhodes sound and a Rhodes patch from Spectrasonics Omnisphere 5. Since I don't have a bass guitar, the bass is a mix of playing the low E string on my guitar and a free bass plugin called 4Front bass 6. I put one instance of bx_console N on each track for non-linear summing I made my first mix in Ableton without exporting individual tracks into a new session, which you can listen to here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1if4WSJK0OkVXX7dWE17pvtX4e9zLTGKU/view?usp=drive_link Yesterday, I exported all individual tracks into Logic and made this mix: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ur1FxPXl7aD1ZkB9DcoslAzdvGMs4b3w/view?usp=drive_link I wanted to put a bx_masterdesk plugin on the master out because it makes it sound so much better, but for the purposes of this challenge, this is unmastered. Any and all feedback welcome!

I think the mix sounds good maybe add some saturation on the drums and the vocals are a tiny bit muddy in some parts but i really like the sound. good stuff

@Yehudi Matthew thanks lol
Normalizing in Ableton
saw Jake normalize the stems to -10db (range) however in Ableton it only normalizes all tracks to 0db is there a workaround for this?

Because it shows the gain levels at zero beforehand and after I consolidate it will tell me if it’s plus or minus what I want

@Yehudi Matthew I guess it’s because most of my projects I have produced in ableton as well so the consolidation is more a part of the production phase
