Keeping it really honest and really simple.
Registration for Claire’s program is closing tonight at 12PM EST (That's just shy of 10 hours from now). So if you’ve been sitting on the fence… this is kind of your moment to decide. Because here’s what’s true right now: The Amazon Influencer Program has shifted. It’s no longer something you can easily scale just by reviewing random things around your house. You can still make some money that way…but it’s undoubtably going to be harder to make it actually worth your time without intentional product research and strategy. And that’s the part most people are missing. Now to be clear— You don’t NEED this program to succeed. I fully believe people inside this community will still grow, improve, and hit big goals. I have got some pretty cool perks in the works too. But if you’re someone who is thinking: ā€œI don’t want to take the long route figuring this outā€¦ā€ Then this is where having a proven system matters and Claire has already shown she clearly knows exactly what to do to scale this program. I asked her during our interview last week if she would be focusing more on offsite- admittedly this was BEFORE the new onsite commission drops of nearly 50% BUT her answer made a lot of sense- "Why would I focus on something with less certainty when I KNOW if i spent another 10 hours with onsite commissions- I could increase my income by a certain threshold?" Inside this Skool group we do intentionally focus on building MULTIPLE streams of income from each video so that at no point can one platform have such a drastic effect on our potential income streams but one thing remains constant- even with the decrease in commission amounts- Amazon Onsite continues to provide a really unique opportunity that NO OTHER earning opportunity does and that is tapping into Amazon's already established, multiple billion dollar a day, and ready to buy customer base. So even if you cut Claires 7-13000 a month income in half (which won't be the case given she focuses' heavily on Creator Connections and those have not lowered- there remains a 10-50% earning potential there)... that is still mortgage paying, vacation buying, stress relieving potential 🤯. And here's a quick history lesson for you- this is not the first time Amazon has slashed onsite commissions in half and while I am sure it felt detrimental at the time- people have still continue to make hundreds of thousands of dollars a year despite it. So while the commissions decreases suck- I am not going to sugar coat that- this is certainly not the end of the Amazon Influencer Onsite Program.

@Lorah McCorriston Did you end up taking the course? I waited because I was on the fence. Hoping to potentially take the next one.

@Lorah McCorriston Okay, that is reassuring to hear because I was feeling/thinking very similarly.

So they finally released the new commission rates and there is no denying that this is sad. I personally tend to have a lot of content in the outdoor lawn and garden and pets section so slightly less affected than a lot of the other categories. But I mean this is over 50% decrease in a majority of categories and inevitably absolutely will have an impact on people's commissions. Now I don't think this is the end of the influencer program, but I do think that this further confirms the need to branch out. I think that this is a clear indication that we really do need to make sure that we are getting our videos onto YouTube, if nothing else so that we have more leverage so that we can get the free products for the Creator connection campaigns because they are suddenly just shy of essential. So up until now YouTube has been a secondary thought. A nice bonus if you will, but I but think it would be wise for all of us to move it up in our priority list. We won't know the full impact of this for probably at least a month or so until we have a little bit more data to analyze, but it will inevitably hit the on-site program relatively hard. Just wanting to provide full transparency as always, of course, none of this is within my control. We are all at the mercy of Amazon's decisions and all that we can do is take what we know and make the most informed decisions that we can moving forward. I'm curious how everyone's commissions have been in the last month since they got rid of Halo sales? Have you noticed a big drop? I personally have definitely had some exceptionally low days but overall at the end of the month for March, things came together fairly well. I still hit my four figures. April has been toying with my emotions lol had a few incredibly low days and almost a week with no Creator connections but then the last 4 days have been feeling more normal. So I guess we will see what the rest of April brings. How are you guys feeling about these changes?

@Cydney Henry that's a great idea :) the only bummer for me is even if it is a cheap product for US, I still have to pay USD and shipping rates since I am in Canada. So even though it seems like a cheaper product, it still ends up costing me 2-3x more lol. So I have done it once or twice, but I barely made my $ back. So it works, but I just have to get really good at product selection and knowing what can actually make me money instead of just breaking even after shipping and conversion rates to USD.

@Lorah McCorriston Wow that is all great info! So nice that it is free to have a PO box at least. Very smart with having it in Montana! Okay, well I appreciate the info. Depending on what you find out and what it costs, I'd love to copy your strategy and hopefully do the same for myself. But very curious on how it will play out, so I would really appreciate the update ā¤ļø
Another way to use ChatGPT
So, since I'm trying to be more selective I was asking Chat a question for an email response and stumbled across another cool feature. I was able to give it the basic info of units sold, revenue, influencer count, and potential commission and it broke down how much I would make per sale, whether it would be worth reviewing and I learned about BSR(Best Sellers Rank) that Amazon gives each product which can also help. Anyways, sometimes I look at the numbers and its still hard for me to decide, so this is helpful. This one was on the line for me, but I figured it could still end up being an okay product and Chat confirmed that. I know Oink kind of does this with its calculator tool too. But, sometimes its helpful to talk it through. :)
