The Mystery Yokealong is back!
Our Mystery KAL is officially back for year three! We’re knitting a top-down round yoke sweater (or a steeked cardigan) together over seven weekly clues, kicking off on January 16th. This year, we’re leaning into stash-busting, so feel free to start hunting through your yarn collection now. You can get all the details on the Ravelry pattern page or here on Skool in the dedicated Classroom where I’ll also be posting all the relevant video tutorials as clues become available. We’d love for you to jump in and share your yarn picks, questions, and progress photos. Just use the "MYAL 2026" category for your posts. Heads up: we aren’t doing spoiler alerts this time, so feel free to post away in whatever way you like just as long as it is in that category! I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this year.

Ooooh this is exciting!!! I loved last years yoke along and have indeed plans to do some serious stash diving in 2026, so this yoke along fits perfectly! I can’t wait to find some good colors

As has been suggested, it would be great to have one thread where people can show off their finished sweaters!! Let this be the thread and I look forward to seeing all the gorgeous versions in one place ❤️ Also, if you can state the yarn brand & colourway you used, it might help others choosing combinations for their future projects. 🙏

@Elizabeth Toole that neck detailing is incredible ( I mean the whole sweater is, but the way you finished that neck is amazing!)

She’s finished y’all! Very happy with the result. It’s a liiiiiittle cropped, but I tend to wear high waisted pants and skirts, so that works out. And if not, I can always do some sweater surgery. I haven’t managed to have any decent fotos taken to model it yet 🤷‍♀️
Clue 7 - the final clue - is waiting for you!
I’m a little sad to say I’ve just uploaded the final clue for this mystery yokealong. If you’ve been keeping up, you’ll know it’s the last piece of the puzzle—yep, the sleeves! I can’t wait to see all the creative takes on the sleeves, just like we saw with the neckband. I hope you enjoy these final instructions as much as I’ve loved putting this year’s mystery together. This has turned out to be so much more than I ever imagined. Thank you all so much!

@Agile Augustiniene so close!!! Also: very beautiful colors! I love the subtle fade in your contrast colour

❗IMPORTANT: Be sure to post your work-in-progress photos as comments in this thread only, so they don’t pop up in the feed on their own. . Now that we’re finished with the colourwork and the CC is freed, so we can add that neckband and finally ease everyone’s worries about that wide neckline. I’ve got a few reasons why I like to add it at this point, and I go over the main one in the tutorial for this clue. . If you’re sharing on other social platforms, don’t forget to add a spoiler alert! You can use your yarn or grab one of the pre-made images here: https://go.zaneteknits.com/myal2-covers. . Still need the pattern? You can get it here: https://go.zaneteknits.com/doeweyoke2-download-rav

@Ellen Calman it’s not brioche! It’s just corrugated. But brioche is a great idea as well, much stretchier I assume! I like the stability the corrugated ribbing gives though

@Lali Torkar I kinda like the candy cane stripe tbh! So fun to knit for your daughter!
DECREASE NECK BAND
any recommendations? I'd like to make my neck opening smaller and maybe more stable before ribbing. I also really like the collar's look on the SONG OF THE MOON sweater (pictured below) has anyone here made it? @Zanete Hussain could I apply that here on this one? would it make much of a difference?

I LOVE this idea! I want to do a bit of corrugated rib, but I find it doesn’t “cinch in” enough compared to regular or twisted rib. But these elegant decreases would be a perfect solution 😍
