11 Social media platforms to market your business
If you're looking to market your business for free or want to invest in ads - here’s a list of the best social platforms to help drive traffic to your website and get more sales: YouTube 📹 YouTube is a goldmine for creators, offering both short-form (YouTube Shorts) and long-form videos. It’s perfect for tutorials, educational content, vlogs, and product reviews. You can make content yourself to funnel people to a service or a product. You could run ads or buy partnership/review from influencers. As a little bonus, you can monetize through ad revenue once you hit 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours. YouTube has built-in SEO + videos rank well on Google, which gives you long-term traffic potential. It’s a slow grind but pays off big once your channel picks up momentum, so keep posting consistently. Pinterest 📌 Pinterest is a visual playground. You post photos or videos and add a link, which means your whole pin becomes a link. Probably the greatest one for driving traffic to your website or e-commerce store. Users are spenders as well, so high-quality organic traffic comes directly from Pinterest. If you know how to design eye-catching pins, it's time to post. The platform thrives on images and infographics, and with the right keywords, your pins can stay relevant for years, which means slow but steady traffic. This is where the money’s at. Instagram 📸 Instagram thrives on Reels and Photos. You either announce your link or product in the content, or you funnel your followers through Stories. They don't pay you for the content you post (unless you get into their Creator Fund), but it's a must-have to build a following. This can later be monetized through brand deals, product sales, or affiliate marketing. Instagram’s algorithm favors consistent posting and high engagement, so the key is getting creative with your content. TikTok 🎵 TikTok is all about viral short-form videos and it's a fast-track to getting your brand noticed if your content hits the right note. TikTok only pays creators in certain countries (USA, Japan, Korea, France, Brazil, and Germany) through its Creator Fund once they reach 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. The real power here is in brand awareness and the potential to reach a massive audience quickly. Play to trends and make your videos shareable—that’s how you win on TikTok.

@Kolona Stacks i’d say they’re both more ‘chatrooms’ than anything. Public telegram groups can be indexed and found on Google but you can’t just post into oblivion and get views/followers through algorithm suggesting content. Update: Substack is also a rising social media platform (similar to X/Threads but you can also build newsletters, earn from writing, post reels, etc etc)

@Eric Jordans I’d say it is, since YouTube is built on interaction. People comment, like, share, and often end up following creators on other platforms too. Plus, the video format builds trust and connection much faster than a regular Facebook post.

Hey @Jakob Weigl Looks handy for anyone overthinking which idea to commit to. I haven’t had the chance to fully tinker with it yet, but does it also analyze things like distribution challenges or customer retention?
Anyone Have Experience With IG Ads?
I want to start running Instagram ads to promote my business. Does anyone have any experience with running ads through Instagram? Positives? Negatives? Any advice?

@Sam Greiner heya, not an expert but If sales is the goal, optimize for purchases, not clicks or likes. FB/IG has a lot of useless cheap traffic that never converts. Better to aim straight at buyers.
🌱 Let’s get real for a moment...
Behind every win, there are struggles most people don’t see. The late nights. The second guessing. The moments where it feels like you’re doing everything and still not moving as fast as you’d like. The truth is every single one of us has roadblocks. And the beauty of this community is that we don’t have to carry them alone. 💡 So here’s my question for you What’s the biggest challenge holding you back in your business right now? It could be… Staying focused and consistent Building momentum with sales Feeling confident in your next steps Or even battling the self doubt that creeps in Whatever it is, big or small, this is a safe place to share. No judgment. Just honesty, support, and the chance to connect with people who get it. Because here’s the thing sometimes the simple act of naming your challenge is the first step to overcoming it. And who knows someone here might have gone through the exact same thing and can share the shortcut you need. So… what’s weighing on you right now? Drop it in the comments below. 👇 ✨ Remember the challenges you’re facing today are shaping the leader you’re becoming tomorrow.

@Bholah Hardei Much easier to overthink 10 moves ahead instead of just making the next one. 🙌
