I LOVE to skate, but lower back problems have kept me away from it for awhile. I see your video and wonder, HOW do you stay so balanced on your skates?

@Coach Glo I just found out that I am going to need back surgery to relieve the pain in my back. I HOPE i will be able start skating again afterwards.

Hello Everyone. I am Kristina. I live in South KC. I am 53 years old. I LOVE to skate and want to get back into it. I hurt my back a few years ago, and it's keeping me from skating, but I told the doctor that i want to be 80 years old still roller skating!!! I don't do any tricks when I skate. I just enjoy going in circles around the rink. Tricks are not important to me!!

This month, we’re focusing on one of the MOST important fundamentals in skating: ✨ Picking Up Your Feet ✨ Whether you’re beginner, intermediate, or advanced — lifting your feet with intention helps with: ✅ Balance & stability ✅ Cleaner transitions ✅ Smoother combos ✅ More control on the floor 🔥 Tuesday/Thursday Intermediate Boot Camp is already in motion, and we’ll be drilling “feet up” technique every class this month. 🔥 Wednesday/Sunday Boot Camp starts TODAY, and we’re kicking things off strong with Day 1 focusing on proper foot pickup, weight shift, and confidence on wheels. 👉 Your task this week: Practice lifting each foot individually while rolling — slow, controlled, and intentional.
