Mystery Snack Challenge
Have you ever put together an odd snack because you were hungry but the fridge or the pantry or in my case cabinets, didn't really have anything you "wanted" to eat but you were hungry so... The same thing happens with our kids and when there is a long weekend, sometimes, you just need to let them get creative on their own. We've got a few Chef's in the community so I'd love your tips and ideas, too! I'm looking at you @Gwen Roach, @Jenny Rader-Bakos, @Henry Hunter, @Andrew Brooks, @Dale Cox (I know he's a food scientist but he invented food products!), @Sandy Chong, and @Henry Hunter, I'm sure I'm missing someone. Here's the challenge if you choose to accept: Put out a random assortment of snack ingredients and give everyone this challenge: Make something that looks like an animal / monster / famous person / vacation destination. No recipe and almost no cooking required. Then give the creations ridiculous award categories: “Most Likely to Frighten Grandma,” “Would Actually Eat Again,” “We Have Questions.” Then, we move into some real food fun.

What a fun idea!!
Do you have any fun and out of the box cooking experiences?
I'm wondering if anyone has reference points for having fun with family in the kitchen. I'm sure there have been fun moments for many of you with baking. I'm especially interested in fun times when cooking dinner. Or times you recall when you were a kid watching someone cook. I'll share a memory first.

Our 2 boys 7 and 4 have been along side us since the beginning when they could each sit in a bumbo.. years later our 7 year old secured his cutting board without a blink, jumps in and preps often with us with short bursts. He’s been chugging kombucha since 2 and loves the juicer and has rocked a few lemonade stands and markets. He’s a little tall chef entrepreneur in the making! He loves fishing and this year he has started cleaning the fish too. However this is all amazing, I am so grateful that he started his love for food in the garden where he still eats nasturtiums( seeds too!), garlic scapes, beans, stevia and all the berries he can! His bro is a little mini and growing into his lil chef self well however he won’t touch kombucha yet as he smelled it first before trying a few times and it turned him off. It’s good we make kombucha sourdough, he is more simple and loves bread, butter and maldon salt! :) The boys are always dipping their fingers in the salt (and with green onions too, if u haven’t tried that it’s a must!) game changer for eating handfuls of sprouts too! Sooo good!
