Irish Wine?
My boyfriend got me a bottle of wine made in Limerick, Ireland while he was visiting the area and it was quite interesting! Started with a strong green apple taste and then it lingered off to a straight alcohol taste. Basically felt like a mead and cider mixed together with some other alcohol. It was definitely an interesting one to try!

Thank you! My phone doesn’t give me notifications so I don’t always see what’s going on! But it was a very unique experience that I only need to do once lol, I’m going to Santa Barbara this weekend so will make up for it with some good wine there!
St Rita Hills
Sanford 2020 Pinot Noir, St Rita Hills.I love this appellation and very affordable to drink.Came across this appellation while drinking at the Hitching Post on the way to our first trip to Napa last year.Any other recommendations? I also had to 2019, which I liked better.I was warned about 2020 wines being a bad year, that true?

I can’t rave enough about the Central Coast and Santa Rita Hills! I lived in Santa Barbara for three years and my wine palate has never been the same since (in the best way)!
Lil' Updates: Skool Perks, Coffee Hour Q&A, & NOLA Recs
Howdy Everyone! A few updates this week: 1. Being part of Slik Skool, I'm giving every active user on here an Advanced Reader Copy of my book, How To Read A Wine Label (I know the Slik Skool was split between 1 and 2, but 1 has a wider appeal, so we're going with that!). If you're reading this and want one, write a comment down below so I know you're interested. 2. Due to popular demand, I put another Q&A session in the calendar. This time, I put in a Coffee Hour Q&A instead of a Happy Hour one for the 20th! I put a poll down below to see if you like the idea of a coffee Q&A or want to only do Happy Hours. I'm such a morning person that I love this idea but want to see how you guys feel. 3. @Kimberly Kaplan asked for some New Orleans recommendations after I went a month ago, so thanks for your patience on this, but here's a list I've gathered from my chef friend. I'd also add Pluck to the list of wine bars to check out. You won't find a lot of the classic spots because the chef friend used to live there, so he likes going a bit more off the beaten path. Classics I'd recommend are Commander's Palace, Galatoire's, or Antoine's if you've never been to NOLA.

I would love an ARC as well!
Tried A New Region
I had to make the trip up to Eugene, Oregon for work and of course I hit up some tasting rooms while I was there! I was iffy because buttery chardonnays and Pinot Noirs aren’t necessarily my favorites, but of course that is what Willamette Valley is known for for. I can say I was pleasantly surprised! Still didn’t love the chardonnays, but found some Pinots that I actually enjoyed! And it was fun to learn about this region!

I love that! I tried Pfieffer and J. Scott. My favorite of the two was Pfieffer. I did an all-red flight and I really liked it! J. Scott had some good wines but to me, it didn’t compare to Pfieffer!
Happy New Year!
Last night I had an Almond Champagne from California. I never heard of this before. It was very good actually. It had a smooth taste and not very bubbly. Has anyone had this before? Or heard of it?

@Tammy Matlock there’s another California winery called Riverbench that specializes in bubbles! Not sure if they ship across the country, but I’ve liked all of their stuff that I’ve had!
