Big Updates: New Rewards & Guest Speakers
Hey everyone! 👋 As you may have noticed, I’ve been doing a lot of thinking lately about how we can make this community even more valuable and exciting for all of you. First of all, I want to give a huge shoutout to @Wittawat Sadindum! 🏆 Witt has been incredibly active in front of and also behind the scenes, sharing great ideas on how to spark more life into our club. It’s members like him who push this community forward and keep the fire burning! I’m excited to announce some big changes for our upcoming assignments: 1. The Ultimate Reward: 1-on-1 Coaching 🎓 From now on, we will celebrate a winner for each Assignment who will receive a personal 1-on-1 training call with me! Whether you want a deep-dive portfolio review, a private editing session, business advice, or help with your visual style—this is your time to level up. We are starting this right now: We’ll use the current assignment (#11) as a "pilot" for this new format. This means someone from the current round will already win the 1-on-1 call! I want to see how we vibe with this new selection process before we fully transition into the new club structure and branding next time. But I want to be clear: This isn't just a "who is the best photographer" competition. I want this to be encouraging for everyone, no matter your skill level. We will choose the winner together during our live calls based on values like: - Best Improvement: Who made the biggest leap in their craft? - Most Intentionality: Who clearly thought about the "Why" and the emotion behind the frame? - Visual Storytelling: Who managed to move us with their image? The goal is to inspire each other to grow, not to compete against one another. 2. Bringing in Guest Speakers 🎙️ Witt also had the great idea of bringing in guest speakers for our Assignment calls to give us fresh perspectives from other experts in the field. Now I need your help: While I have some contacts, my reach only goes so far—I want to know who inspires you!

Help me shape our future: Rebranding "The Photography Club"?
Hey everyone! As most of you know, I’ve been doing some reflecting on our community lately. While I love the simplicity of "The Photography Club," I’ve realized that it sounds a bit generic and doesn't really reflect the deep, intentional work we do here. Early members might remember that this name was chosen just one hour before launch, because a lawyer told me that I could not use the name "The Photography University." 😅 But we do way more than just talk about shutter speed and aperture on our live calls. We dive deep into emotions, color psychology, and the "why" behind the photos. As we discussed in our last workshop, editing actually starts with the way you see and compose a photo before you even press the shutter. To make us stand out (and be easier to find in search!), I’m thinking about a name that captures this philosophy. My current favorite is: The Art of Seeing (AOS). I feel this name better represents our journey of asking the right questions before we edit—focusing on the emotion we want to convey and what truly matters in a frame. What do you think? Please vote below! I really value your input—this club/community is for all of us, and I want the name to feel like home for your creative journey. 📸

Assignment #10: "empty yet present"
This is my contribution to the black & white assignment. My attention was drawn to this motive because of the shadows the chairs are making and the emptiness I felt. Why isn't anyone sitting there and enjoying the sun? Having a chat ;-) Curious what you think of my picture choice and if you would have erased the little pony on one of the chairs? or is this distracting element making it more interesting? f 10 / 1/250 / ISO 100

Feedback needed - photo contest
Hey.. I want to hand in some photos at a contest. No theme, etc. Perhaps you can give me feedback by submitting "hearts/favorites" in this gallery https://klausnenningfotografie.pixieset.com/fotowettbewerbe/ which one is worthy submitting. Thx a lot. Klaus

@Wittawat Sadindum these are all „old photos“ and in the beginning of the assignments I thought they had to be „fresh“ ones 😂
