Welcome to Family Photography Lab 👋
Hi! Thank you for joining 🙃 If you’re new, start by posting a quick intro in Introductions: where you’re based, what you shoot, and what you want to improve in the next 30 days. To get the best help here, post questions with context: lighting, your settings, and what you’re trying to fix (posing, expressions, blur, harsh light, editing, etc.). The more specific you are, the more useful the answers will be. A few ground rules: keep it respectful, no self-promo or sales DMs, and only critique when someone asks for it. Glad you’re here — jump in when you’re ready.

@Ola Duminuco Well I'm currently in my first year of my BA hons of photography and it has been explained to me a few times by a few photograpers online that seascape and landscape photography don't make you as much money compared to head shots, photographing families and the list goes on. But I just need a bit of a push as I'm not great when it comes to posing people push struggle to tell my model how to pose because A I don't want them to feel uncomfortable and B I want the model to feel or the family to feel safe when they are being photographed.

@Ola Duminuco Once a year's I go to a photography trade show called the photography and video show and I'm always observing how photographers photograph their models and I will be honest the models standing for hours or even long periods of time to me in my mind is incredibly hard and even more so when your playing a character and I Will be honest they do have the heating on and it does get really warm and how the models mange to do it when at a photography trade show I have real respect for the models as it is not easy and if you are doing it for all four days that must be incredibly tiring. Also a photographer connection that I know within the Industry his name is Glyn Dewis and he did an article about what he saw at the photography & video show and how photographers behaved around the models and that article got me thinking about if I every got the opportunity to teach a photography workshop and what my code of conduct would be as well as how I would look after the model and also how they were respected and I would be making sure that they had as many breaks because standing for long in front of the camera it will take its toll on your body, so if there is a way for the model to be able to be able to sit down in parts of the shoot that is a bonus because they are able to gain back some of their energy.
