Hi everyone! I’m Kiara, and I’m currently planning my wedding for next year. I’ve found some incredible inspiration from a UK designer (pictured), but I want to take this concept and give it a more luxurious, multi-dimensional feel. I’m working with a regal palette: Champagne, Emerald, Royal Purple, Black, and Gold. To achieve that "KayyDior" elegance, I want to play with texture—specifically mixing the heaviness of Velvet with the flow of Silk or Sheer fabrics. I’m looking for recommendations on specific fabric blends that drape well together without looking cluttered. I want it to feel opulent and sophisticated. Does anyone have tips on layering these specific textures on a standard pipe and drape system? Can’t wait to get my first set of poles and start practicing!

I declined an offer
Hey Fam ! I just wanted to share that I had to turn down the opportunity to decorate the 60th birthday party. I was really excited about it, but the amount of work and rentals she wanted didn’t align with the budget she had in mind. She was asking for three backdrops, a dessert table setup, 40 chairs, and the serpentine table, and was looking to spend around $1,000–$1,500. Based on everything she requested, I provided an estimate of about $4,600–$6,500, give or take, to properly cover the rentals, materials, setup, and the overall look she wanted. I always want to make sure my work is done at a high standard, and at her budget I would have ended up spending much more out of pocket just to make it look the way it should. As much as I would have loved to do it, I had to stand firm on my pricing and respectfully decline.
That’s right we not paying for nobody’s event👊🏽 You did right…she thought this was wholesale…🤣

Posh Design Studio Weekly Updates – March 27th
This week’s update is all about making your pricing process faster and more efficient. We’ve introduced new Pricing Calculator Presets, allowing you to save your pricing setups and load them anytime instead of starting from scratch. You can use the pre-made presets to get started or create your own based on your business needs. We’ve also resolved an issue with the Edit Price button, which was not properly updating pricing in the calculator and invoices. Now everything works smoothly, so you can confidently adjust your pricing and have it reflect correctly. Sign Up Here: https://poshdesignstudio.com
