sitting at a dock at dusk...two adult bears between us and cabin..it was terrifying! We were still and quiet as were the bears. It was a test of endurance. Thankfully, the bears decided we were boring and puffed and grunted away after about 30 minutes. Longest half hour of my life! By that point it became very dark..we "power walked" back to cabin. Once safely in cabin, shone the lantern out between the sheds. There they were, now staring at the cabin. Lingered over to the door and started scratching..they finally left..likely because all of the kids were up screaming and crying. Needless to say, we went home the next day. Unusual behaviour as they could have attacked us outside . Bizarre and frightening at any rate

Got River Dog settled in the bow and pushed off into the Satilla. Traveling with a dog on a canoe expedition isn’t just logistics. @Rodney Thompson Outdoor Skills definitely..had 11 down to my last surving , shes a 15 year old chihuaha and hates the water..lol
