Expression Exercise!
What state are you starting the day in? Comment with an emoji or a gif! Some examples of states: Calm and clear 💯 Scattered and overthinking 😵‍💫 Heavy or shut down 🫩 Irritated or reactive 😤 Tired but hopeful 😬 Give yourself permission to be expressive through imagery without saying a word...

What's Your Default?
Ever notice how when things feel overwhelming… you suddenly want to clean, scroll, snack, or avoid everything? That’s not lack of discipline. That’s your nervous system choosing a survival strategy. 👀 Which one do you default to? Coaching Groups calls start next week! CHECK THE CALENDAR FOR DATES! I have a big announcement about the structure of this group moving forward... :) Look forward to meeting you online!

Do you like to be busy?
Are you a busy person, moving quickly, but not actually getting anywhere or getting much done? Do you know your skin system is what tells your brain you are moving?😶 Moving quickly is a way to feel safer in your body... for some. How would you know that moving fast was ACTUALLY a stress response? 🤷‍♀️ Try this → do the next thing slower, much slower. How does this feel when you consciously slow down? 🤔 Does it feel natural and bring more awareness? 🤗 Or does it irritate you and make you anxious? 😫 Slowing down prepares you for rest & digest... 🧠🫀🫁🍔 And if that doesn't seem to shift anything you can always do the Somatic Compression Reset... 🦾 To learn what that is... Join me live Fridays at 1pm MST, click in the Calendar.

Nervous System Exercise 🧠🫀🫁
Try this:👇 Put one hand on your chest, one on your belly... ✋🤚 Don’t change anything. Just notice and wait. What happens to your breathing? 🫁 What do you feel? When your body breathes deeper, sighs or yawns... that is your nervous system shifting into Rest & Digest... all by itself. You don't have to do "Breathwork"... 🫁 your breath will do the work for you, if you just pause, listen and wait. UPDATES: Live Video Call Thursday 7pm (check out the CALENDAR) Course Updates in the CLASSROOM Thank you for being here... ❤️ Michelle :)

@Michelle McDougall The 'don't change anything' part is the hardest but most rewarding. It’s a great reminder that we are human beings, not human doings. Thanks for the reset! 🌿
Nervous System Check In - Micro Exercise
When you are on a device or computer… notice your posture... 🤷‍♀️drop your shoulders. 😬unclench your jaw. 😮‍💨take one slow breath. And allow yourself to make micro adjustments... THEN scroll or do your work. What did you notice? How did you have to adjust? PLEASE share in the comments! TIP: 👌Make this a daily habit and check it often...
