Good morning, Lawrence. I'd like you to discuss with John the need for cardiovascular work, or rather, short bursts of exercise long enough to produce a cardiovascular effect during training, versus isometric or TSC training, where maximum intensity is maintained for only a few seconds. At my Axon Zone centers, we have a protocol very similar to the one Brian Murray uses in his VIIIVFITNESS protocol. With incredible results, by the way. I assume you've read his blog; I'll leave one of his latest articles here precisely on this need for cardiovascular exercise, or not, with a maximum strength protocol, like the one they use at VIIIVFITNESS, or John's maximum contraction protocol. Within this discussion, we'd like to hear your opinion on approaching strength training with these short protocols, combined with regular daily activity (not sedentary), and maintaining a healthy weight with a diet low in saturated fats, processed foods, etc. Perhaps that would be the best approach? Would we still need to push our muscles and cardiovascular system to a higher level to obtain more health benefits? Thank you https://viiivfitness.com/blog/endurance-training-the-smart-way
