We participate in Schwab's yearly benchmark and are currently working to bring Fidelity on but are not officially onboard yet, so access to theirs. I appreciate any insight you folks can provide. ThanKS!

Compliant Texting
We currently only use accommodation texts with our clients/prospects. However, there's obviously an advantage to using text messaging especially for various reminders. Would love to hear what other RIAs are using and pros/cons. GIF for TYIA

@Natalie Bergsma We find our clients are 50/50 on text, but we do see an increase in meeting confirmations via text. The issue we faced was the use of personal phones to text clients. We had to be very intentional about using on Redtail Speaks for clients in order to avoid any possible SEC violations. We have a policy on employee texting, including what can be discussed in a text and what cannot. We moved most of our employee related communications to Microsoft Teams for compliance as it is archived with the same company that handles our emails.
Performance
Greetings, brain hive. I am trying to develop an approach for tracking activities and meetings via Redtail (the method used prior was cumbersome and required a lot of data mining beyond reports). I thought I would reach out and see what approaches you folks use for tracking performance of advisors, paraplanners, etc. Thank you in advance for your feedback, ideas, screams of commiseration, etc.

@Joe Moss, I am 100% with you and Jackie on this. I am trying to slowly turn the over-management style that was here prior to my tenure into more of a team-level management style where I trust individuals to get things done. I was brought on to transition the company from the founder's ownership and direction to the next generation and to help build the company, as now that it is what is considered a medium-sized business, this is where the wheels can come off the bus quickly and easily. I knew it would be a struggle, as I cannot imagine handing over a baby that I spent 30 years building to someone who I just hired to slowly implement the strategic plan we developed and trusting them not to fumble or worse. This is my wheelhouse—taking small businesses to medium size. Big business happens overnight, usually without warning. It is during the transition from small to medium that the management and marketing teams begin to wonder if they should fire the founder or do something more permanent. I plead the 5th.
