Hi everyone, My name is Kevin McShan, and I was born three months premature with cerebral palsy. At the age of 9, I was told that I wouldn't be able to walk without assistance due to my disability.After college, I faced rejection from 10 consecutive news directors who saw my disability as a liability. It took me 6 years after college to land my first paying job because employers couldn't look beyond my disability. I love talking about inclusion in the workforce because it's my belief that inclusion is the gateway to independence, and breaking down the barriers to access to employment for individuals with disabilities is essential and important. Through this community, I aim to provide helpful information and resources to start the conversation on how to best utilize and integrate individuals with disabilities into a thriving workforce.
