What are your greatest struggles?
What are you all currently struggling with on a daily basis? I'm personally struggling to fill admin positions while also having the proper SOPs (standard operating procedure) and tools in place to help them succeed at their jobs. What are you struggling with?

@Bobby Mason about the same here. I get it’s part of business, it’s just since I’m just dipping my toes in the water I overthink everything😂

Good stuff as per usual, killing it!
Another Lesson
Hey everyone! I just published a new micro-lesson on “Unpacking Your Backyard Refresh: A Design-First Approach” in our classroom. In it, we explore JH’s 3D renderings—seeing how the broad Cheswick paver patio flows into sculpted, tiered walls and layered plantings—before diving into the quote to show you exactly how each cost line ties back to a design feature. You’ll discover how to: - Read the hardscape and softscape elements as a cohesive experience - Map demo, pavers, walls, and plant costs back to what you see in the visuals - Apply value-engineering tactics that preserve the look while trimming budget - Ask the right approval and logistics questions for a smooth build 👉 Check it out here and drop a comment when you’re ready to discuss tweaks or approvals: https://www.skool.com/the-million-dollar-landscaper/classroom/6e7f6f0a?md=0335c4b796b74a2b840f01c62d6dfc58 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts!

This is dope! Thank you for this
Are You Worried About the Market Correction?
We’re hearing more chatter about a market downturn — interest rates, inflation, global uncertainty… the usual storm. Are you seeing clients pull back on landscaping budgets? Or do you feel like your local market is still strong because the jobs market is holding steady? Would love to hear: - Any changes you’ve seen in client behavior? - Are you adjusting your pricing or service offerings? - Doubling down on marketing? Or tightening up? Let’s be real about what we’re seeing — and how we’re preparing. Also, I give my thoughts in the comments.

This! Have seen nothing but the downfall all over the place. As service based companies it sucks, we aren’t a “necessity” like most things. My biggest piece of advice, stay strong! Dont hold back if your end of things.

@Seth Mansur I have more recently been working my way in front of higher end clients! Slowly though as I’m still a one man show. As for the why I’m a necessity, I don’t really have a list of the whys. I just inform them on the importance of getting something done if it’s urgent (like failed retaining walls, places holding water, property damage etc). If it’s more of just the looks stuff, I always reassure them the prices are what they are because the material is expensive. I then offer a warranty and what not and most of the time it goes in from there. I’m still super new to “business” so I’m learning still! Closing tickets is the hardest thing I have ever done.
Introduction, Food Forest Background, Question On Selecting Sub Contractors
Greetings, I have grown up around agriculture and have been working at ways to integrate edible aspects into properties for a number of years. I am getting more people over time interested in swapping out individual plants from ornamental to edible, and some are looking for wider designs that include multi species/polyculture. Locating solid sub contractors in different areas has been my biggest challenge, any pro tips for what to say/do to know they are going to serve my client well if I am not in the geographic area to directly oversee the project?

This is a really cool idea! How far out are you trying to sub to? If it’s a good distance. I would personally find someone, pitch the idea. And then take a trip to do a couple jobs. Make sure they know what they are doing. Agriculture is great, but adding edible stuff is a bit more work. Making sure said plants and stuff are in right places of the yard for sun/shade, make sure it’s planted good, and explaining to the customer good ways to take care of it!!

@Seth Mansur would love to talk ways to get it started. Me personally, I wouldn’t add it in mine as I just know there’s gonna be people that become a headache to work with over said topic! One mess up on their end “oh you didn’t plant it right” “can you move it” “it died, you should have to replace it” Of course that would be covered in contracts, but still a headache overall. If you did maintenance in yards and incorporated it, I fell that would be best. That way you know it’s getting done.
