Owning and Overcoming Fear.
Fear is something that we all struggle with on a fundamental level, it is the one thing that can hold us back from giving a presentation, getting lunch with a friend, or doing something that we don't think we can. We have been conditioned to fear a lot as humans, I'm guilty of it and I know a lot of you might be as well. Something that has been weighing very heavily on me as of late is that you cannot let fear control you. You cannot let it get in the way of doing things that the Lord has called you to do. For so long. We have sat within our own comfort zones scared to even peek out the window. To step off that ledge. Fear is a tool that the enemy likes to use to keep us in its back pocket, to keep us close without even our own knowledge. The Lord would never ever put fear into any of his children. For the Lord. Calls us to be fearless and Free. The enemy tries to use fear to keep us on a leash, to keep us from getting closer with God. When we step out of our comfort zones and into that fear, oftentimes chaos can ensue. But something the Lord spoke to me earlier today is that there is comfort in the chaos. We have to learn to get uncomfortable and be okay being uncomfortable. That is when the true work can begin. So I challenge each and every one of you to do one thing a day that scares you, do that one thing that you've been putting off for so long because you're afraid, afraid of rejection, afraid to relinquish control, afraid of the unknown, even afraid of yourself. Lay it all out before the Lord, surrender that fear. You have absolutely no idea what could be in store for you. Once you decide to finally let go. Get uncomfortable. And bring it all to God. Kei a tatou te Atua, e whakarongo ana ia ki a tatou, e aroha ana ki a tatou. Tangi atu ki a ia Translation: (God is with us, he listens to us, he loves us. Cry out to him.)
