STR Regulations
Hi, I have been working on investing into STRs. One thing that always comes to mind is around the fluidity of the regulations. I would love to hear thoughts from the community here about how you analyze before committing to an area or a property.

1. I always target vacation markets where the community relies or is in heavy favor of STR's. No need to fight an uphill battle. 2. When I'm interested in a particular market, I go into chatgpt first and ask what are the regulations in the market. If they are favorable, I'll go into the website of the municipality and further research then I'll actually pick up the phone and confirm with them. 3. Assuming steps 1 and 2 are a green light, I will always ask the neighbors about my property before purchasing. 4. While under contract, I'll check for any deed restrictions that say I can't STR the property. Never invest in a market that doesn't have any regulation. It's only a matter of time before they regulate the market.
