I was sitting and waiting on a perscription when this opening came to me: "I sold my right arm for a million dollars and lost all the money within an hour. Why do things like this keep happening to me?" These kind of shocker value openings are priceless, in my oppinion. I feel like writing a book around it. It would probably be a sci fi or futuristic fiction. What do you think? Is it a show stopper opening?

I was inspired to write a poem in a new poetry community I joined and here it is. By the way there was an extra bonus (of what I don't know) if you included the phrase: I almost didn't say this... Of the three submitted so far, mine was the only one the owner of the community commented on. He said, "Nicely done.
