Do you like shocker openings?
I was sitting and waiting on a perscription when this opening came to me: "I sold my right arm for a million dollars and lost all the money within an hour. Why do things like this keep happening to me?" These kind of shocker value openings are priceless, in my oppinion. I feel like writing a book around it. It would probably be a sci fi or futuristic fiction. What do you think? Is it a show stopper opening?

Yep! Great choker opening!
A New Poem
I was inspired to write a poem in a new poetry community I joined and here it is. By the way there was an extra bonus (of what I don't know) if you included the phrase: I almost didn't say this... Of the three submitted so far, mine was the only one the owner of the community commented on. He said, "Nicely done. I like that" Please let me know what you think. “A Life, A Laugh, A death” A laughing child turned to tears A scratch, a bruise, and life’s long fears Was it all worth it, to run headlong Writing such a strange... echoing song I almost didn’t say this, but in due time I found an old picture that has changed my mind When it’s all said and done, and I am dead Will it matter what was in my head A picture paints a thousand fears A laughing child turned to tears

Makes me think of the fears of people who won’t get the point of life. This poems to me speaks of being born to childhood where laughter should be found then on through to adulthood to death. We laugh when life appears but cry when it disappears. A very thought provoking poem.
Help me help you help me while helping you
I have been trying to inspire involvement in the community by offering to do a Live Lesson/editing session where I use one of your problem areas or your stories as an editing example. This is an opportunity to get a free one on one with me that I would record as one of my daily Live Lessons. Come on, don't be shy. Simply comment that you are willing and I will DM you to set it up for a day/time of your choice. Help me and the community by letting me help you.

I am a 3rd grade teacher and it’s a busy season for us! So, I have not been available to participate, but I know I will. I am a writer, and I want to become better! I want to use my skills and talents to teach others to teach others! I love your community setup. It’s inspiring and looking forward to growing!
