If you don’t know me yet… I like to motivate by educating. 😉 By showing you what can happen in the body and what can often be prevented, when we take a little bit of time each day to care for our posture. In the picture below, you can see a very common spinal misalignment. When your spine has its natural, optimal curves, your body carries the least amount of unnecessary loads There is less stress on the muscles, fascia, ligaments, and other connective tissues Your body can support you with much more ease. Here’s the broad stroke: Your body has tissues that are designed to help keep you upright. And your body has tissues that are designed to help you move. When your spine moves away from its optimal center of gravity on a chronic level, the muscles that are supposed to help you move now have to help hold you upright. My teacher used to say:“It’s an expensive way to live in your body.” Because now your body needs way more energy just to make it through the day. Think of it like this: 🐢 Some muscles are like the turtle. Slow, steady, enduring. These are the deeper postural muscles and supportive tissues that can work for hours and help keep you upright. 🐇 Other muscles are more like the rabbit. Quick, powerful, ready to move like your biceps, quads, and other bigger movement muscles. But when the rabbit has to do the turtle’s job all day long? That rabbit gets tired, cranky, overworked, and eventually… something starts talking. TENSION - ACHE 😣- PAIN ! • more tension • less energy • headaches • tight shoulders • shallow breathing • stiffness in the neck • fatigue by the end of the day • that general feeling of “ugh, why does my body feel so heavy?” Every inch your body moves farther away from its optimal dynamic posture can make daily life more energetically expensive . So, my loves, this is your loving little posture reminder: Take 15 minutes. Do something ! https://www.skool.com/yoga-40-7155/classroom/45fc896d?md=53acafab71a84e12bf44246af29ec852
