One Year Later: A Thank You from the Heart
This weekend marks a very special milestone for me. A year ago on Sunday, I celebrated reaching my goal weight — something I never thought I’d be able to say. That night was capped off with dinner surrounded by family and a few close friends. What I didn’t realize then was that it wasn’t just an ending — it was the beginning. Around that time, the idea for BHPP was born. I spent the next six months digging in: researching companies, learning where they sourced from, how they operated, and just as importantly, what not to do. Seeing the “bad players” in this space taught me lessons that were just as valuable as the wins. Fast forward to today — one full year later — and I couldn’t be more grateful. Grateful for this group, for those who’ve supported me, and for everyone who chose to follow along on this mission. We’re still in the building phase, but I’ve never felt more optimistic about where we’re headed. Most of my posts are focused on education or updates, but this one is simply to say thank you. Thank you for being part of this journey. Thank you for giving me the chance to try and help others experience the kind of transformation that changed my own life. Here’s to the past year — and to everything we’re building together in the years ahead. — Brad

Happy Anniversary and congratulations on reaching your goal. I appreciate the time and energy spent on building this out for education purposes.
From Broken to Becoming Whole Again
I’m 59 years old, and the last two years nearly crushed me. Four knee surgeries. A vicious staph infection. Endless pain. On June 28, 2024, I went through yet another total knee replacement. The toll was brutal—not just on my body, but on my spirit. I wasn’t myself anymore. I felt defeated. Lost. Like a flaming dumpster fire that couldn’t be put out. What made it even harder was remembering who I used to be. Before this nightmare, I was training for a bodybuilding contest. I had purpose, strength, and drive. And suddenly, it was gone. But on June 1, 2024, I decided to fight back. I started my peptide journey—not from a place of strength, but from rock bottom. And in just 3 months (June 1 – September 5), here’s what’s changed: - 💪 Hormones Restored: Testosterone went from 123 → 1,484. - ⚖️ Weight Lost: 260 lbs → 225 lbs (down 35 lbs: 32 fat, 3 muscle). - 📏 Waist Trimmed: 42 in → 37 in (5 inches gone). - ❤️ Blood Sugar Reversed: A1C from 6.3 (pre-diabetic) → 5.4 (normal). - 💓 Blood Pressure Normalized: 148/89 → 120/80. - 🩺 Liver Health Restored: AST 56 → 33, ALT 83 → 39. These numbers aren’t just stats—they’re lifelines. Proof that I’m not done yet. Proof that you can rebuild, even when you feel like ashes. This is only the beginning of my comeback. I’m not where I want to be yet, but I’m no longer that dumpster fire. I’m rising. If you’re in the dark right now, hear me: you’re not broken forever. Your story isn’t over. The climb back is hard, but it’s worth every step.

Wow! So happy for you. Rising from the ashes so to speak takes a lot of strength and determination.
🧬 Exploring My Genes with LifeDNA
LifeDNA is a company that offers DNA-based insights into how your body may respond to different foods, supplements, exercise, and lifestyle choices. Their reports go beyond ancestry and dive into actionable wellness data. What I Purchased - LifeDNA Test Kit – simple cheek swab for DNA collection. - Methylation Genes Report – focuses on genes that influence methylation, a key process tied to detoxification, mood, energy, and cell repair. - Ultimate Wellness Pack – a bundle of health & lifestyle reports covering nutrition, fitness, skincare, and more. Why It’s Interesting - Methylation plays a central role in how your body processes B-vitamins, toxins, hormones, and neurotransmitters. - DNA insights can help you understand predispositions (not guarantees) so you can make smarter health decisions. - This kind of testing is increasingly popular for those interested in biohacking, longevity, and personalized health plans. Want to Try It Too? I grabbed mine through this link which includes a discount: 👉 LifeDNA Discount Link Which is EPIC considering I just paid $405.00 ⚠️ Note: DNA tests provide information only. They’re not medical advice or diagnosis. Always confirm important results with a qualified healthcare provider. 👉 Question for the group: Would you be interested in seeing my results breakdown once it comes in?

@Brady Michaels I find this whole subject fascinating.
Can saunas release natural hgh?
Can a 15-minute steam make your growth hormone spike? Yes — but with caveats. Research suggests that a short sauna session (e.g. ~15 min at ~70–90 °C) can transiently increase growth hormone (GH) levels — in one study, rising from ~2 to ~5 µg/L in young men. However, this increase is temporary, depends heavily on age, temperature, duration, and recovery cycles, and returns to baseline within a few hours. The proposed mechanism — heat stress triggering heat shock proteins, hypothalamic signaling, and GH release — is plausible and partially supported, but not definitively proven in humans in all circumstances. If optimized (higher heat, repeated exposure, alternating with cooling), the GH boost might be larger — but evidence for dramatic or long-term hormonal effects is limited. GH does help with tissue repair, muscle retention, bone health, and body composition, but whether sauna-induced GH surges deliver meaningful benefit beyond traditional methods (training, diet, sleep) is still an open question. Using a sauna for recovery, relaxation, or performance support is reasonable — and occasional GH boosts are a potential bonus. But this isn’t a magic switch for hormones. Treat it as one helpful tool among many. Full Article: https://nordvikoutdoors.com/blogs/news/sauna-growth-hormone-study

Interesting. My IGF-1 labs from pre-sauna to 8 weeks after using sauna at least 3 days week went from 40 to 97. I also used ipamorelin during this time as well.
