How to improve your diet
Not all meat is created equal. After almost 5years of making beef my staple meal I've noticed a few things. The type of meat you eat makes a big difference to your recovery after a workout. And just in general. For me, Beef has worked best for after intense strength training Chicken has worked best after jumping. Or anything that puts a lot of pressure on my tendons/ligaments Liver has worked best if I feel grogginess in the morning Eggs have worked the best when I need to eat but don't have an appetite Butter has worked the best when my muscles feel dehydrated despite having enough salt and water (I think the fats help to moisturize internally if that makes sense to you πŸ˜…) Lamb has worked well when I wanted to add more fat into my diet Heart worked the best when I needed an energy boost but didn't feel like eating liver Kidneys worked well when I felt lethargic Hope this is of some use to you guys πŸ’ͺ πŸ₯©πŸ³πŸ₯šπŸ–

@Christina Davis yeah same. I usually go with whatever my appetite is on the day. How do you cook your steak?

Use Beef to your advantage
Beef is full of both micronutrients and macronutrients. That's why it's able to give you so much more energy. πŸ”‹ Especially when you throw in some eggs or liver for an added boost on top.πŸ₯š Another thing that can help you is exercise. When you get moving your blood starts pumping and it carries lots of nutrients and oxygen to more areas of the body.🚘 So this month, I'm doing a challenge to pump nutrients and oxygen to boost my overall health. I'll post it for the guys that are curious.πŸ’ͺ Comment your breakfast foods below πŸ‘‡

How to win Long term
What's the quickest way you can hit your long term goals??? πŸ“† The problem with long term goals is that they are so far in the future that it can be difficult to figure out what needs to be done to get there.πŸ€” To hit those long term goals ASAP means you need to be making progress daily. So that means breaking your long term goal down into smaller daily goals.πŸ“‹ It's then just a case of showing up and hitting the smaller goals.βŒ› Feel free to post your long term goal below πŸ‘‡ Comment 'plan' if you've got your daily goals planned out.

@Jonathan Vos I usually start with the desired outcome that I want and work backwards. I think what do I need to have for this goal to become a reality. From there I list out everything I need to get there. Whether it's skills, clients, objects, a team etc. and then from there I start to list out how to acquire those things. I gradually keep breaking it down until I end up with small steps that can be done on a daily basis that will push me in the right direction. And then I plan out when I'm going to do those steps. And then I do them. Day in and day out until I reach my goal.
Starting Carnivore
Recently, I was diagnosed with General Fatty Liver Disease and Pre-Diabetes (Round Two). I’m nearing my eighteenth birthday soon, so these health conditions are concerning to me especially as an athlete. Unfortunately, my dad has never taken my words seriously about nutrition and has indirectly led to this outcome. My question is, what should I tell to my dad to get him convinced to LET me at least do a month of carnivore? What would y’all recommend me to do? A month? Two?

I think at 18 you're just going to have to take control. Convincing the older generation as a young guy is always an uphill battle. Only thing that will change their mind is results. I'm sure there are plenty of other people here who would agree. What sport do you play?

@John Forbrich that's sick how fast do you throw. And with pre diabetes you definitely need to be avoiding sugar. Carbohydrates all turn to sugars in the body. Whenever you have too much sugar it's going to aggravate your condition. At the very least I'd avoid eating carbohydrates. If you have to have them, then I'd limit the carbs to only one meal a day. That will keep your sugar levels down. And have all the rest of your meals as meat and fats. If you can't manage to negotiate that. The only option is to start bringing in income so you can afford to buy your own meals.
