Sunday Funday: Animal House ๐Ÿ˜‚
No, not the movie. My actual house! The inmates run the asylum over here. It's never a dull moment and I wouldn't have it any other way ๐Ÿ˜‚ For the record, I have 3 dogs and 2 cats. I grew up in a household full of pets, and I've always been an animal lover. Someday I'd like to have a green tree python ๐Ÿand a horse! The only downside to pets is I am a wanderlust and I love to travel. The cats have timed, automatic feeders, so I can leave them alone for some time and as long as I leave them a big bowl of water, they're fine. The dogs pose a different issue. While I have brought 2 of the three with me on several occasions (thank goodness for pet-friendly hotels!) typically I end up boarding them or dropping one off with my brother or parents and then having someone watch the other two. It's. Not. Cheap. All of my little menagerie is comprised of rescue animals. I love purebreds, but I have a soft spot for the misfits. Do you have any pets? Drop photos below! Tell me their stor(ies). I already know @Jeff Baer is allergic ๐Ÿคง and I know @Keith Marvicsin has the sweetest oversized lap dog ๐Ÿถ But I'm curious if anyone else has any non-human family members in their household!

@MJ Berst well I managed to get it to a round 15k
Kangen water
Has anyone invested in these or been thru the pitch process on them? It seemed kind of pyramid to me. But still has me curious. Was wondering if anyone has or had experience with them. My former trainer is in the program now. And seems to be raking in funds with no real actual selling etc.

@MJ Berst yeah I kind of figured it was a bit of a gimmick. I sat thru a zoom meeting a few months back because I was curious about the side hustle she was getting checks from. When they showed me what it was I snickered a little and rolled my eyes. I know a few people that have them. Seems pricey for something you can do a lot cheaper. I bought a Nakii filter pitcher and counter top thing a while back that seems to do what I want. And last I knew the water here wasn't treated with flouride.... yet. Ive learned there's no get rich quick, only schemes and cons. Ive even been caught off guard by an Amway sales pitch while at a ballgame.
Hope yall are staying warm and prepared
Such a huge storm. Hope everyone got prepared and made plans for all contingencies. Stay safe and bundled up.

A friendly reminder to check your subscriptions๐Ÿ™ƒ
There are plenty of good tools out there to check your subscriptions and see what you're paying for each month. There are pros and cons of linking your bank to some of these apps, specifically when it comes to the security of your data, but these days everyone pretty much has all of your data anyway, so make of that what you will ๐Ÿ˜… Recently, I did an audit of my Godaddy.com accounts, I have a few websites, only one of which is active right now, but one thing I didn't realize is that I've been paying for an email address for one of the sites that is currently not active ๐Ÿซ  Now, it's only $10/month, but that's $120/year -- and this is the problem with subscriptions. We think, "Oh, it's only $xx.xx/month" but when you start to have multiple small subscriptions you are paying for each month, that starts to add up! In fact, recent research has shown that the average American is paying nearly $1,000/year in subscriptions! A few questions for you: - Do you know how many subscriptions you have? - How much are you spending per year? - Do you use an app to track your subscriptions? - Are there any subscriptions you could cancel today? Let's discuss!

Let's see Spotify $13.08, Google $3.26(extra storage), Flickr every 2 years 143.50, YouTube $16.35(sponsor a channel), Stash 32.00 a year/ $25 weekly investment, Planet fitness $16.24 Off the top of my head.
๐ŸŽ„ Merry Christmas ๐Ÿ’š๐ŸŒŸโค๏ธ
It really is the most wonderful time of the year! Thereโ€™s something about the snow, the lights, the quiet magic that settles in after dark. Whether that's decorating the tree, baking Christmas cookies, sipping eggnog, sitting by the fire, replaying old memories and making new ones with the people we love -- itโ€™s a season that invites us to slow down, gather close, and remember what matters. And yet, I know this time of year can also be incredibly difficult. For many, it brings grief, loneliness, complicated family dynamics, or reminders of whatโ€™s missing. If today feels heavy or bittersweet, please know youโ€™re not alone. Reach out to me or someone you trust. Even a small connection can help. Last night I attended Christmas Eve service, which felt especially meaningful. Iโ€™m adopted and reconnected with my birth mom and her family about 8 years ago, and I had the opportunity to attend service with her and her husband. The message was centered on peace, something that feels deeply needed right now. Jesus is called Mighty Counselor and Prince of Peace, and the idea of a peace that surpasses all understanding feels especially relevant right now. Even if youโ€™re not religious, itโ€™s hard to ignore the amount of turmoil in our world. I truly pray that each of you is able to find peace, not just today, but in the year ahead. Also, a big reason I even got into financial literacy and real estate investing was also about peace. Financial peace. Fewer sleepless nights. Less stress. More margin. That desire was sparked years ago thanks to Dave Ramsey, and itโ€™s been a guiding thread ever since. My sincere hope is that I'm able to help you have peace around your finances as well! Anyway... Today Iโ€™m spending the day with my family and heading to my aunt and uncleโ€™s house for Christmas dinner. Still very full from Christmas Eve and actively trying to not overdose on sugar cookies ๐Ÿ˜… What's on your agenda today? Wherever this day finds you, I hope thereโ€™s a moment of warmth, calm, or joy tucked in somewhere. Sending love to all of you โœจ๏ธ

I spent the day playing with my "kid" and his new toys. Enjoying the warmth around here right now. 70s and breezy yesterday. Mav enjoyed his toys and promptly performed surgery on said toys and removed all the squeaks. Cooked a couple steaks for dinner. And just relaxed for the day. Made a short run today for work. Now off until Monday.
