Quick favor for anyone who's used/using Fundview
We're getting close to launching the updated Fundview website, and I'd love to feature some real feedback from people who've used the platform. If Fundview has helped you in any way, whether it's finding lenders on ConneX, managing your pipeline, collecting docs through the borrower portal, or putting together loan packages, I'd really appreciate a short testimonial. It doesn't need to be long or polished. A couple of sentences is perfect. Some things you could potentially touch on: → What you were doing before Fundview → What's been most useful to you → Any time saved, deals closed, or lenders found → etc If you're open to it, please include your name and title. In order to keep a consistent level of anonymity we will only be using just your first name, last initial, and your title. You can drop it in the comments, DM me here, or email me at [email protected]. Thanks in advance! This community has been a big part of helping to shape what Fundview is today!

Who are our go-to special purpose asset lenders
I have a request for a cash-out refi of a golf course located in California. They are seeking 50%LTV.

@Deidrea Hammond Just FYI .Nearby Twain Hart Golf course has a mortgage out years ago with US Bank. Also, have you tried the Filter feature when you go into the ConneX marketplace in the Fundview platform? There are many different criteria you can search from. I logged in to my account and I searched "special purpose" and these three lenders appeared. They also all do California. A golf course might likely qualify for SBA as well. One of the lenders is Skylar McClure from Celtic Bank that specialized in SBA and I have closed multiple deals with him in the past. I would be glad to make a personal introduction if you want to present the deal. I added a couple of screenshots for the filtering.

@Deidrea Hammond I hope you don't mind. I took the liberty of reaching out to my title guy to request a farm report for golf courses in CA. He was kind enough to email me a list as an excel file. If you give me your email, I can forward to you. A decent list of commercial banks to add to you call list. As I expected, many Asian-American community banks represented. If you want any additional suggestions on how to package to these lenders, I'd be glad to also assist.
Fundview General Question
If a lender sends us a request to connect on Fundview are they from a general group of lenders registered on the Fundview platform? Or are they inside the MBM community? I have some friend requests from lenders sitting in my queue. But I did not accept them. Ya'll already know me. I ain't gone let any person come all up in my house and I don't know them like that.
Fundview General Question

Great question, Shonika — and no "randos"😆 Yes, those lenders are registered on the Fundview platform specifically. We built a dedicated platform for them called Fundview Capworks, and we're continuing to add tools to help CRE lenders manage and increase their own deal flow. The Connex Marketplace (soon to be rebranded as Connex Deal Room — a more fitting name) is what connects both sides — brokers and lenders, because closing a deal takes two things: having the deal, and finding the right lender for it. Our goal has always been to give brokers the tools to manage deals and clients through the process. Now we're building out the other half of a successful deal — helping you find the right lender. The Marketplace (Deal Room) works both ways. Lenders can find deals that fit their box, and you can find the lender that fits your deal. That's exactly why we require lenders to enter at least one loan program to be on the platform — it makes them visible to you as a broker. It's not one-sided. Both sides have visibility, and both sides can see each other. So instead of blasting emails and LinkedIn posts about their programs, they can actively look for deals that fit their credit box — an active role rather than a passive one. Now, the important part: lenders cannot see your deal details — and most importantly, they cannot see who your clients are. All they see is: - Loan amount - General location - LTV - Property type That's it. They don't know who you are. They don't know your name yet or your company or your client information. Neither of you has any contact information on each other until you mutually agree to have the connection. That's also why you have to approve the connection first: you control what they see. And once you make that connection, it's yours. You can communicate with them freely and send them deals down the road. And honestly — what's better than not only being able to search for lenders' specific loan criteria with our filter system, but also having a lender reach out to you saying, "Hey, I'm interested about that deal, can we discuss more details"?

Thanks Greg — totally get the instinct to keep things private. Nobody wants a flood of outreach from people who haven't looked at the deal. But here's what we hear from the lender side: most CRE lenders get hundreds of deal requests a month, and only a fraction ever make it to a term sheet. Their bigger complaint isn't too much contact — it's getting deals that don't make sense for their programs. They don't want to waste time reaching out on something that was never a fit either. That's exactly why we built the ConneX deal room. And lenders can't just register a name to be on the platform — they have to enter at least one loan program. So when you find them, you already know more than who they are. You know exactly what they're looking for and what their appetite is as of today. From there, the Fundview platform does the analytics for you. It compares their programs against live deals and scores the strength of the match. So when you reach out, there's a reason behind it. And it works both directions. Lenders see that same match score from their programs against your deal. If they contact you, it's because there's already affinity there — not because they're fishing. One thing worth clarifying: "public" doesn't mean blasted all over the internet. It means registered lenders on our platform can filter for best-fit loans — and you can do the same on your end. It also doesn't reveal your client or your firm. Lenders see only a minimum amount of deal information — just enough to know whether there's real fit with their loan program. Enough to know if they're someone you should call, or if you're someone they should hear from. Nothing more. From there, only your connections reveal contact info to each other. Your client's information and documentation stay private until you release them. Hope that helps. Happy to walk through this feature personally if you'd like. Just let me know
I highly recommend Mortgage Broker Mastery!
If you are looking to get into the commercial lending or mortgage broker space and want REAL mentorship from someone who actually knows the business inside and out, I highly recommend Malcolm Turner’s Mortgage Broker Mastery community on Skool. Malcolm brings 19 years of lending experience to the table, and it shows in every training, conversation, and piece of advice he gives. What sets him apart is not just his knowledge, but his accessibility and genuine investment in his students’ success. Every question I’ve ever had has been answered. Every time my self-limiting beliefs tried to convince me I couldn’t perform a task or close a deal, Malcolm pushed me to think bigger and execute with confidence. Most mentors give you a course and disappear. Malcolm consistently shows up for the community multiple times per week — not once, not twice, but often 3–4 live sessions weekly — making sure we fully understand the process and have the support we need to grow. Because of his mentorship and guidance, I’ve successfully closed deals and started building a real lead pipeline by applying the strategies he teaches. If you’re serious about learning the business, building confidence, and taking action, this community is absolutely worth being a part of.
I highly recommend Mortgage Broker Mastery!

I've known @Malcolm Turner for several years, and what he's building with Mortgage Broker Mastery is something our industry has needed for a long time. Both Malcolm and I have both been in this business for a while (17+ years), and I've enjoyed spending time with him comparing notes — what's working, what's shifting, and how new technology can open doors for people trying to break into commercial lending. Here's what sets him apart from others.... In CRE finance, there's an old instinct to guard your playbook — to treat your knowledge like a secret that only gives you an edge if you keep it to yourself. Malcolm rejects that completely. He's built a formal program to bring people into this industry and help them actually thrive in it, and that takes a level of generosity and confidence most brokers simply don't have. I respect it because our objectives are aligned. I've spent my career — and built my own company — trying to remove friction for CRE brokers and lenders and put better tools in their hands. Malcolm is developing the talent that makes the whole ecosystem stronger. A larger, sharper, better-trained pool of brokers is good for everyone, borrowers included. There is plenty of opportunities for everyone to eat! With the right training and tools, the better the feast! If you're considering Mortgage Broker Mastery, know that the person leading it isn't teaching "theory". He's a working pro who genuinely wants to grow this industry, and he's putting in the real time to do it. I'm proud to recommend it as well.
