Probably my most toxic relationship in aircraft detailing is brightwork polishing (also called polishing aluminum). What works on one panel won’t work on the next one over. It’s takes forever and requires a hazmat suit which is hot and the respirator is uncomfortable. But the shine when you’re done is sooooooooo satisfying. This is one of those jobs that makes aircraft detailing absolutely worth it. For this exterior detail, brightwork polishing, and polymer coating we charge $2995. With a two person crew it takes two days. Not bad profit, but if you’re here in Florida, trust me when I say try and get these jobs in the winter. The hotter it is, the worse the suit is!
